@@illorbit2958 Hi ILL ORBIT! I usually don't recommend running mirror dash cams off the OBD adapter as most can only provide 2A out of the 2.5-3A that most mirror dash cams require. There is a high power version of the OBD2 adapter here amzn.to/3epnu1O but I have tested it myself, If you do order it and if it works well with your mirror dash cam please let us know (correct, the OBD2 adapter will not enable true parking mode, here is the video where I cover this on more detail th-cam.com/video/YEklm9V6xYE/w-d-xo.html ) Hope this helps, Cheers!

@@AlexAutoFun Also i recived my wolfbox G900. In the end with discount and refund it will be super cheap arround 200usd with hardware kit. Just this kit does not have double fuse conector, i need it to, because i dont have free fuse slot in my car. But i think that i have one hardwire kir spare from my Vantop H612T, so i will cut the wires from that kit and connect it with new hardwire kit which came from wolfbox.

Oh yes i should of said vertically. But i reinstalled the camera. It is niw about and inch or 2 from being centered on the back of the car but it seems to be fine and if still shows a wide angle of the rear view. Much thanks

I would like a third-cam/cabin cam option for one purpose only: capturing police encounters. I wonder whether I would be served better by a three-channel setup like this, or just a two-channel mirror (less money) and some kind of standalone cam to aim at the side window. I would love to hear opinions.

I was considering three others that you reviewed: WB G880, Pormido D50, and Rexing M3. I'm leaning toward Rexing M3 although I worry a bit that I might actually invite police encounters in states/countries that ban radar detectors since the attached camera could be mistaken for a radar detector! There are no perfect solutions.

Great videos. Do you know how this kit will handle car battery usage when in parking mode? I was wondering if it would deplete my car battery if I am parked for a couple weeks. If an event triggers the sensor to record, is there continuous recording to capture footage prior to that event? If it does, how long can it operate without draining your car battery?

Can you be a bit more specific regarding parking mode recording…. If I were parked at the airport for two weeks with a healthy battery, do you feel that this unit can record that time frame? Have you ever done this type of test or evaluation with your reviews? For example: If the dash cam were to be in parking mode for two weeks and recorded 30 events each day for 30 second durations…. X amount of days would be expected to be recorded before shutting down.
@@freddyjimenez6328 You're welcome Freddy! that is great question, the testing can definitely be done but there are many variables where it may not provide you with a definite answer unless performed on the actual vehicle in question. Assuming the battery is healthy and fully charged, the rest of the variables are the battery Amp-Hours rating and the rest of the parasitic draw from the car's other electronics (which on newer cars can be quite a bit) If you wanted to test this out, I would recommend running a health check on your battery to determine it's remaining capacity, then running a current leakage test to determine looses before the hardwire kit. Then running the current drop test again with the hardwire kit installed, both in idle and in triggered mode (making sure all this testing is done on the car the you are trying to calculate and potentially in the temperature the car will be left at since this can also affect battery performance). I seen some large variations on how a car will drain it's battery, I have one car that can sits months a time with almost not loss and another car that will eat up it's battery in less than a month (both do not have hardwire kits) This would definitely be a good topic to make a video on for those that like electronics, a little math and would want to learn how to conduct this test and equipment needed.
