- This time I have filmed a 1200HP Zenvo TSR-S! The Zenvo TSR-S is one of the very first hypercars with a Active Rear Spoiler. You will see it in action on the GoodWood Festival Of Speed and see it driving in the Swiss Alps! I hope you enjoy the video.

Kallissimo That was the ST1, it was the first car they made and surprise surprise quite a few supercars tend to catch on fire. I get that the quality may not be up to par with something like Mercedes but it’s still much more interesting than most supercars.

I was playing FH4 on my Xbox, and I have the TSR-S. As I was driving it, I was thinking, "there's no way the wing turns this fast." I was wrong.

Even if it look stupid, I think it's actually quite clever. With this wing they can counter the inertia of the car in the corner by orienting the effect of the down so the car stick even more to the track through corner, It's a really good idea to me...

4zap7 It works, it’s just too heavy of a system where a fixed wing is lighter and now that payoff isn’t greater to have active aero, but in a few years time most hypercars and race cars will have a form of active aero.
4zap7 To be honest I don’t think we’ll see it either, high end track cars such as LMP1 cars just wouldn’t benefit as much especially since they’re aero is already massive enough as is but in terms of commercial supercars, they’ll have them since it does work and it’s a bit of a party trick, I mean if the Zenvo wouldn’t have had that wing this video wouldn’t really exist.

I’d say the wing is pretty inventive but other than that looks like any other exotic car. We will definitely be seeing more active aero like this very soon

But the true question is.. does this really work? And how much of a difference does it makes compared to simple fixed spoiler?
Considering an F1 car can theoretically drive upside down. I think it's safe to say that this directional downforce defenitely has enough of an effect to be useful. No clue how useful though.
@@MrMeasaftw A lot of cars can drive upside down. It requires less aero than you think. Any modern day car off the factory you see on the road a go around a loop. Any car design with aero and power in mind can drive upside down.

And about the thing about "fastest cars in the world" you were talking about, those are the fastest production cars. They are supposed to go fast stock. You can get a tuner car to go way faster than that

wow, holy shit, what is that!!! look at the spoiler of that car working looks like a suspension, that spoiler looks like the suspensions that stay on the wheels, but thes works on the air, throught force G making the downforce possible in a high scale and make it stay a very estable on the road, and turning still more your aerodinamic estable and griping throught the spoiler and the wheels on the road, that amazing, i'm had thought that this car were a toy on the Forza Horzion 5 after see that spoiler making that dynamic movings how if of was a suspesion.
They did this super elaborate wing setup meanwhile they drive the 3 times a year and it never sees over 70mph.

Keyboard engineer here. There's an old saying with cornering... you only have 1.00 dollar to spend... I haven't seen any thing on this car's data, so this is just off the cuff; but is the increased lateral aerodynamic force greater than the reduction in normal force on the tires? I suspect there is a certain speed and angle of attack at which the lateral force from the aerodynamic load is greater than the total grip the car would have had given 100% of the down force was contributing to the friction of the kinetic friction of the tires, but I'm willing to bet more often than not, the 100 cents of that dollar would be better spent on near vertical down force.
