  • Q: How do we come to know our true nature?
A: In this state of not knowing your mind is completely unfurnished; you are free from all representations. It is only in the state of not knowing; in this openness, not knowing waiting for the eventual known, then the waiting becomes free from what It is waiting for.

I attended a satsang of his in the 80's when I was in California. He had the Presence. Bless him.

I more than often feel Jean more than I understand the words. In this awareness, the message is so clear and yet, the words have so little meaning once heard.

Unknowing is not a state, it's an unchanging 'constant'.

Twas once suggested to me: stay in the "I don't know"

I can only speak for myself...
I "KNOW" but cannot adequately EXPLAIN it.
WHO/WHAT AM I? is crysral clear... FOR ME..
I just can not adequately describe it.
    This is MY reality!!!
    ...for now! 😂

I guess every person's experience is unique. Hence, there's no common context or reference point to make others know one's experience. When we use words to try to convey our experiences ( because there's no other way) misinterpretations are sure to occur.
      Greetings from India.

No its not clear for you. You are translating what you think is true through a movement of knowledge. There is something which is beyond knowledge and it is unspeakable, it is only when the measurement ceases. It is only when the speaking ceases.

I dont know what he's about, but I've never heard such pregnant silences!

Is he talking about the immediate realization of not “knowing” something like, what is the personal phone number of the queen of England, and to be able to linger in that space?

    • @wthomas5697
      @wthomas5697 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

All he's talking about is perceiving reality without getting into thinking about it. Nothing complicated. "Spiritual" types make a big deal about it because they have a hard time not lapsing into thought, which is a fear generated activity.

Still trying to take 'you' somewhere. Technically, you're already 'there', but apparently you don't KNOW that. Ironic, huh? He's 'there', and has many words via books etc. to help take you to the place that you already are. He KNOWS, but you don't. So exactly who is teaching whom here; the chatterbox expounding on the virtues of silence, or his mute audience?

First of all, close your eyes and look as stupid as you can. Then let the Presence shine from you. And that's all... I mean, I can do that trick myself... ar, not myself, of course, but The Presence of Everything. The dumbness of all these pseudobouddha make me think of the Beatles. There is one band (the Beatles) and so many Ruttles all over the world
