  • An Exclusive Bajaj Dominar 400 Review - I caught up with the ever so humble Bulu Biker from Bangalore to get low down of the Bajaj Dominar 400. Incidentally Bulu Bhai has taken his Dominar all the way from Kanyakumar to Kashmir and he was kind enough to give a detailed review of his mean machine. Watch as he shares the pros and cons of owning the Dominar for 20,000kms.

      +Kishore Mohan wow thank you so much... This is news to me that in Matte Black series... Bajaj has worked on the vibe issue. How do you know abt this info Kishore... Just Curious and how have they solved it ??

      u can actually feel that vibrations on RS200 Dominar and NS200 at 4k to 5k rpm at 2nd or 3rd gear...but its easier to get rid of those vibrations on RS.....
      and if u compare the BSIII and BSIV products of pulsar or dominar series..the vibrations are very less in BSIV lineup.

      for an extra 20k u will never regret to buy D400 over RS 200, f u are lukng for a track obvioused & faired bike go for RS 200 & also if u concerned about d mileage too ... or else go 4 D400 ,as D400 scores a head than RS 200 in most of the aspects

    Dominar launched in Dec 2016 ..Aiming Royal Enfield.. till date made so many ads "Hathi mat Palo" ... but RE is still there without any reactions against bajaj ... My suggestions ... stop comparing with a legendary machine ... We all agree Dominar is a good machine to ride ... and RE is a different feel ... you won't understand this ....

    Oh come guys it's a good review. RE is a different class bike it for mature adults who loves old school ruggedness and cult image and dominar is for everyone from a college going to working pro's just stop comparing these two

    • @justvish
      @justvish  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MrRifflord I agree with you on the fact that Royal Enfield has a cult following unlike anything else on the Indian market but ... Like I earlier said..I think the company has become complacent in providing modern feature set on the motorcycle. If u have watched my Hinterlands of Odisha videos.. I was riding Triumph's retro classic. It was a retro looking bike which is so cool however it had ABS, Ride by Wire, Traction Control and other modern equipment. Imagine if RE refined the engine and adds these tech to make the ride experience even more better.... It would a premium most riders would be happy to pay for safety and reliability. I love the Haathi but hesistant to spend that money on old tech.

    • @MrRifflord
      @MrRifflord 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      justvish u r right, RE has to change their strategy. Till last year it was sole leader in its price segment. Now all companies are looking for piece of share in that segment. We are seeing new companies like UMM motors and Benelli are trying to penetrate deep into our market. KTM has created a great image in the market. If RE doesn't make a bike according to the market competition. It will definitely lose its edge. Business students will have one more case study like "nokia" in change management.

      Been riding my bull for 17 years, i for one would not like to royal Enfield make bull digital. Digital things seems more like toys, and its the image you see there is mustang ( car company but same image as bull )and other big company's out there that never bring electronics in there product bcoz they are successful that way you don't repair a thing that is not broken plus the more you move towards electronics the more non reliable bike becomes.

    • @AMITGUPTA-nv4xh
      @AMITGUPTA-nv4xh 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both are different breeds bro and both are good. Prioritize what you want. Compared to thunderbird prefer classic 350 as its comfort and resale value better than thunderbird. Domi is a fantastic machine if you are looking for insane power and cornering capability. RE is for peaceful ride. I purchased a Domi recently and very soon buy a RE classic new model for singles called 48.

  • @AMITGUPTA-nv4xh
    @AMITGUPTA-nv4xh 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love both RE and Dominar 400. I purchased a Domi last month and within next 3 to 4 months will buy a bullet recently launched called TRIALS which is replica of a 1948 model of bullets as well. Just love both these mionsters. Different feeling alltogether in both of them.

      @@raajrane new one also lasts because they are non refined engine, which is still in raw and hand made. Hand made engines can turn back to it's original condition. A good mechanic is enough.

    I own pulsar 180 2007 model. I have driven it around 20000km(which is very less) only. And apart from normal service which cost around 1000 rs Mark. I have only spent on visor (110rs), sparkplug (180rs) and brakepads(price not known) so far. These Indian machines are value for money than foreign counter parts. And bajaj in general are reliable machines if road conditions are good. In my city roads are best. By the way, I was planning to buy r3 or Ninja but now considering my usage budget and value for money demand I may settle for dominar 400 and buy another jawa in cost of r3 or ninja

    I agree to your personnal factual review. tank capacity is a bit too short but because mileage is good, it is not an issue.
    Bajaj (with KTM) has offered a modern and confortable bike (ABS etc) to indian drivers. better than R.E. Himalayan and its 40 issues. Many drivers leave their old enfield to buy a Dominar 400.

    Hi, I feel the seat is not very comfortable for a longer distance rides. I did a 2000 km tour a couple of days ago Hyderabad > Gandikota > Hampi > Chikmanglur > Hyderabad within a spam of 6 days and the seat experience was really horrible. I had to stop after every 20-25 kilometers. What you suggest? Should I change the seat or should I add some cushion to it. Also please suggest your option as well.

    need to buy a bike. . use city commute and frequent 500kms rides. . . . whts the best avenger 220 or 200ns

    • @AMITGUPTA-nv4xh
      @AMITGUPTA-nv4xh 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Avenger 220 as it is more comfortable due to its low stance crusie seating posture. Do consider suzuki intruder as well. Thats also one good bike.

    Just i would expect bajaj bikes to become more reliable like other japanese counterpart . After 5 years bajaj engine looses performance even after proper maintenance but yamaha ,honda and suzuki don't loose performance even after 5 year of rough usage and improper maintenance. Also japanese brands comes with engine health assurance after long 5 year of usage also.

      Sreenu Gajam both have good comfort...
      FZ25 is also good option for touring.. But CBR250R is made for touring that's why its called Sports tourer..
