  • This is brief discussion between young men from various tribes in Ghana who understand the culture and the dynamism of our inter marriages among the many tribes we have.
    We settled on myth that made claims of impossibility of marriage between the Asante's tribe and the Ewe's tribe in a healthy argument-based conversation. We stand to be corrected if any of the historical fact in this program is distorted by my guest.

    Every tribe is claiming that they are the ones who defeated Ashanti’s in Dodowa war. Too many false narrations circulating social media. Ada, Akyem, Bono, Ekuapem, Ga, latey, Fanti, whiteman (British). Almost all the tribes in Ghana plus a whiteman came together to rescue the Ga people. Ashantis retreated because of the superiority of the whitemans military weapons. Tell the history like it was written and not your version of history. Show us the facts.

    It wasnt just the Ga nd Fanti, the british brought in their men, plus solidiers from nigeria( hausa), india , carribean,all of them to fight the Ashanties , Ashanties and Ewes where actually allies but maybe felt ewe people betrayed them. Ashanties used to help Anlo people with their wars agianst kingdoms in nigeria

    Correction : Asante/Ashanti is a tribe, but Ewe/Eve is an ethnic group. The equivalence of Ashanti is Anlo , not Ewe.

  • @patricktutu5844
    @patricktutu5844 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    The equivalence of Ewe is Akan, not Ashanti/Asante. The equivalence of Asante/Ashanti is Anlo. So - Ewe is to Akan, as Anlo is to Asante/Ashanti.

    Personally i think is bcos of Royalties. The issue of the the person next in line to be king. U know Akans are Matriloneal and Ewes are Patrilineal. So assuming I'm a woman and the elderly child, and I get married to an Ewe man my chiled will be the next in line to be king. So if it happens this way an Ewe blood will rule over the Akans and since Ewes are Patrilineal The Ewe child will be in line of royalty which the kiingship will then be transfered to them.
