Just got home from your live show in Helsinki. It was beyond fantastic. I was gently on mushrooms when the show started and I didn't even notice when they wore off. Such a therapeutic event.
Sober is quite possibly the most beautifully hauntingly sad joyous song ever written. Releasing on pandemic shutdown day 1 as quarantine project 1 I love this song so very much and will continue to rave about it as we approach Devin’s commentary
I don't know you Devin, listening for years though and I feel like a do which is a weird thing. Sending much thanks brother, for occupying my mind when it was a bit shit, much appreciated 👍. See you in Bristol, can't wait!
Since the beginning i ve always bought albums one bevause sound quality is always better and two most important i like to support the bands and artists i like and its always going to be like that always happy to support you devin because every album is unique and special yhank you
Yes, the songs on Nightwork are indeed cool! I'm always looking forward to your next project. Both the main one and then the "after thoughts", for lack of a better term.
You know I've watched your live solo Kingdom video dozens of times. As a musician, and a teacher I tried to teach people to recognize the sublime within. I tell them it's not something they have to create, it just have to open up and let it flow. I absolutely love watching the reaction videos to that song, and your other music. All the women love you, and all the men want to be you. I try to show people the power. You either have it, or you don't. Keep shining brother!! Don in Oregon
I always buy the albums and if available the bonus work with it, dvds and treated myself to the night work shirt just as that album really sticks with me , looking forward to Manchester and what you have prepared for us all.
I just find your song I know I don't think it's on any of these (why) is just so uplifting and almost theatrical I guess it is the theatrical I don't know how to describe it because I'm not really good at music but it's beautiful and every time I play it I just smile and sing along
It took me a few listens to get into Lightwork, it is such a complex, multi faceted album. I really like it. I don't really care for the nightwork album, bit too heavy for me, but love the tracks 8-10.
I have given "tons" of money to Devin and continue to do so! He really, really deserves it. See you on Tampere tomorrow! Btw, Nightwork is great album. Hard to decide which one is better.
Please come to Cape Town. We have a great local scene here, the local 'metal' clubs are great. I'll even help with arranging everything if need be. Please!!
I feel a bit more at ease now as Devin too (at that point) didn't know yet what the Nightwork songs were about :p When I'm making music, I often have no clue what is the story behind my song(s). I suppose it's a common way of creating stuff.
Devon, genius! Look out for another.. Just out of interest, different galaxy, different genre, but I love how your music crosses boundaries as does this sick puppy - Ren (modern day bard, musical thespian and lethal tongued rapper).
Your Spokane show has a heavy opener, I recommend you open with “praise the lowered” or “stand” I’m all for a Ghost vibe but the show is a bit heavier, you need to work them into your truth.
That intro always reminds me of 'A Horse's Tail' by Cardiacs --> th-cam.com/video/mOVuV53bEw4/w-d-xo.html There's only so many notes and so many ways to play them I'm sure it's just a coincidence, would be nice if it wasn't though. :)
Great band and song. I always though the opening riff of A Horses Tail reminded me of Faith No More. The bit at 1:20 sounds similar to what Devin might do.
Do you ever keep a hard copy of each development of a track ie version 1, version 2 version 3 etc - I do it with my poetry lyrics and literature. Cool video Dev, see you in Norwich 😊
Hey man I swear you used my messages on this album, maybe I’m crazy but I remember writing these messages man please tell me something I’m losing my mind, either way I think the world of you man!!!!

This is the strongest "bonus" album I've ever heard. Honestly I just see it as the 2nd CD of this double album. I love it.
As much as I like Lightwork ... Nightwork is the one I end up listening to over and over again. I'm happy I bought them.
I love listening to him talk. Such an insightful guy
the nightwork album connected a lot more with me at this time, glad Devin releases his stuff this kinda way. As always, thank you

I love sober
Another song of his that comes to mind with "sad joyous" to me is "Gulag". I got lotsa emotion tied to that one.
Dropping by to wish Dev a happy birthday this 5th of May 2023, may peace be upon you.
Keep going down those creative rabbit holes. It always pays off 💯❤️
I bought the normal version of Lightwork, but then I saw the deluxe edition and bought that too! No regrets at all, love everything you do!
I’m in the camp that the album and bonus album are one full album. Love it! Keep rocking Devy
Looking forward to seeing you in Manchester Dev!
I bought the double Cd with the blu-ray version for my 5.1 system. Keep doing what you are doing.

Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️

Factions and Sober are my highlights. Talk about two ends of the musical scale hahaha
Thank you for releasing these songs alongside the "regular" albums! ❤️ It's always a joy to hear more of your wonderful music!
Carry me home is an absolutely amazing song.
It's more! 💙 💫 💯 💢 💥

Thanks a lot for yesterday's gig in Oslo! That was a ride!

Sonically, for me, Stampys Blaster and Factions (and the transition between the two) are the best moments of the Nightwork album.
Cadê o primeiro vídeo completo, com as outras músicas gravadas neste estúdio?
Gostaria de ouvi-las - novamente -

Boogus and Carry Me Home are damn good
Factions is the kind of stuff I meditate to.
See you in Oslo tomorrow night!
forgot to add i love alot of what you do xD
❤
See you in Oslo tomorrow! I am not feeling well right now, but no fucking way am I missing it!
Finishing a great idea can be the most challenging parts. Might you have a fear of success?
Hey Devin what do you think about your Kiesel I'm thinking about having a headless one built a Zeus
Sometimes, I love saying "first!" lol!
rare footage of the only living person on earth to use "disparate" in casual dialogue

Is there really no digital album available for purchase? I want to buy this album, but no digital copy.
Would you ever play 'Away' live i know its old and out dated ^.^
When you’re writing do you make several copies of songs with different variations to them?

Ohh i hate you sometimes😅
I love all the B side stuff.
Whatever happened to SYL?
Devin has said many times that he's not that angry 24 year old anymore.
❤
