    or just buy the 4 piece set, cause you know you are going to eventually round out your set like you normally do. the wrenches are geared toward metric and each wrench has 3mm range, so can't always impose SAE/Imperial on the rest of the world ;o)

    As a European the only time I use adjustable wrenches is when I either don't have the right size wrench for some reason but more so for when I run into American crap that doesn't use the metric system, and I simply don't want to buy extra tools I only use incidentally.

    If you're a wera fanboy these are great.
    If you want the tool this wants to be, get the Knipex plier wrench.

      I have both. Here is the thing. If I’m going to do a single bolt and the knipex fit that’s the go to. On repetitive work ( a flange with 22 bolts) and the wera works that’s the tool. I use a cordless impact too but some times the hand tools are a lot less to carry and climb with and there is no battery to die. They all have a place.

      If I had to only have 1, yes. However, there are things that this can do great that pliers wrench cannot:

    I have the whole lot the most useful for plumbing however is the 25-32mm which is great if you have the space for the long handle , but under a sink the length of the handle usually gets in the way. I usually use a bahco adjustable for tackling compression fittings the handle is about 7 inches long and that provides enough torque to cope with most jobs . The XL handle however is much longer I presume to give more leverage in other applications. I think wera should make an XL 6004 joker with a much shorter handle for close in tactical tightening if you kwim…

    I would only buy one if they made a short one that opens extra wide. Would be the perfect C-wrench

    it also might elp to read the # on the tool. 13-16 means 13-16mm.
    if you want to use it on 10 or 19 you should buy the proper tools.
    13-16 is a useless tool anyway if there are a 10-13 and a 16-19 jokers.

    • @MannoMax
      @MannoMax 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Idk about Imperial, but in Metric we usually got 10, 13, 17, 19. meaning anything this can do is pretty much useless

      That was my thought too. What's the point of this video? The answer to the "What size Wera 6004 self adjusting spanner wrench to buy?" is written on the tools directly.
      If you want to save and use 2 tools instead of 4 by using them improperly, buy more cheap crap for this price and don't worry.

    Seems a complicated solution to a problem handled better by tools I already have. For me, it just does not justify it's own existence. "There is a nut out there for every wrench".

    • @plsreleasethekraken
      @plsreleasethekraken ปีที่แล้ว

      Except that they are auto adjusting and ratchet with one hand. They can also go on flats or corners. Not saying that makes them appropriate for everyone, but I don't know of any other tool that executes on these two features as well.

    Hey man. I'd get a knipex pliers wrench. Does far more sizes and can probably ratchet just as fast. See my video about it.
    Also I'd be happy to send you one of my tool wallets if you'd like to show them to your viewers.

    • @davadoff

      I’d look at getting the smallest one or two jokers for small nuts & bolts. Such as for adjusting jubilee hose clamps.
      I’d get the jokers instead of multiple nut drivers / small hex sockets.

      Not always unfortunately. When working with M12 fasteners you will sometimes need 18 and 19mm, nut always 19, head of bolt 18 or 19mm. Same with M10, you need to carry 16 and 17mm.

    This video has some helpful information on sizing, but unfortunately never actually uses the tool. When the video ends saying "this is what you can do with the Wera Joker", this leaves the viewer thinking it's just a regular wrench and horribly undersells it. This thing auto-adjusts and ratchets with one hand at the head with a shorter arc than the pliers wrench (handle has to extend to ratchet).
    If you want to actually see how to use the Joker, see this video:
