    I bought mine in red a month ago and haven't looked back! I previously had the Sinnis Hoodlum. The k light feels more solid built and handles much better, smooth gear change and yes brakes are good, not sharp.

    Useful video, thanks for posting. This ticks a lot of boxes for me. Am after a comfortable easy ride with a low cog. I'm shorter at 5ft 9in so hopefully the handle bars wouldn't interfere with my knees as much.

    Thanks for your video. It is hard to get review on Keeway K-Light and yours indeed gives me the confidence about my order for the K-Light 202 model, which I ordered couple of months ago. It is a decent bike, certainly worth the price. After done tested riding the demo bike for few times, I love the classic look and comfortable feeling. And you are right about corneing, which does need the rider to get used to. Overall, it is a great bike for RELAXING crusing. I will come back here and leave my comment after I get my K-light 202 bike.

    bless this guy, I'm 5'7, weigh about 11-12 stone and mine gasped from 50-55, rarely saw 60. Get bullied on an inclined 50mph road. Comfy, easy sporty feeling controls in some ways, but toy like cheap vibes. Nothing makes a click to tell you whats happening. For a beginner though, those pegs, the pedal arrangement, button placement, it did me well starting every time for 3 years and survived 2 crashes- not too bad to repair and parts are around. Back tire in the wet though, that is the joke on this bike.

    the tank have the 125 logo but in the handle bar is a 202 logo, here they sell the "200cc" that comes with that 202 in the tank and handle bar too.

  • @simonwiggin7824
    @simonwiggin7824 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    To improve the look they need to shorten the rear end. Remove all cheap stickers e.g. 125 and keyway. Remove that stupid arm over the rear wheel and finally replace the exhaust with a chrome or heat wrapped exhaust pipe - would make the bike look and sound so much better!!!

    In my country, this model is 202cc instead of 125cc. Rather than FI as is requirement in Europe, it is carburetor here. It is priced very affordability but in a market dominated by Japanese, they are having tough time to make much sales. I have yet found any on the streets.

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is the problem with reputation, it makes newer manufacturers, or indeed Chinese made bikes, difficult to persuade people to shift to. People do however forget that many Japanese bikes, at the 125 range, including Honda and Yamaha are made in China

    Out of the Sunnis hoodlum/lexmoto Michigan, the keeway super light, this k light and the UM Renegade, which would you say is superior in the following categories:
    Reliability
    Dealership support
    Acceleration of the line
    Top speed
    Breaks
    Ride comfort
    Looking at picking up a 125 cruiser about a decade after a tormenting experience owning an old two stroke aprilia rs and don't want to be stuck with another bike that kills my enthusiasm for riding!

    Thanks for doing this. I asked for the video and you delivered. Fantastic bike. I noticed at 7:19 the handle bars have a 202 sticker instead of 125. the 202 seems to be for other markets as there are videos of such in India. Surprised they did not notice that but it does not take anything away from the bike. Really want one. Thanks.

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are welcome. The 202 seems to be the sub-model, unless they just add that to every bike? It is odd, although the 200cc bike has that 202 on the tank. Personally, the 202 seems very under-powered with less than 13 BHP.

    Finally a review of the K light. And a very good one. As a full grown adult what speed you reached?
    When available, you should do also a review of the X light. Seems a cool little cafe racer and with only 100kg must be a bit faster then the K.

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bearing in mind the demo bike was new, I didn't want to take it over 55...but there was more there. However, my Mondial hit 78 with me at 100kg on it. At 3 months old (the bike) I gave it to my son who is 20 and over half my weight and he reported an 86 top end. Once loose, I see a comfortable 65 being typical for the K Light. I like the rear of the X Light..but the handle bars look wrong in my opinion.

    Mark Whittington-Buckley : The First Man in the world to get his knee down on a Keeway K Light 125 ... LOL . On a serious note it looks very Nice for a little urban commuter & I agree with you on the Tank Decal . Although did you notice that on the Handlebar Clamp it says "202" ?
    So another question Mark in regards to the Honda Cafe / Scrambler / Hybrid / thingumajiggy .... Have you got your test sorted in readiness ? No time like the present in this Glorious English Weather ??

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      LOL; and yes, the 202 badge I think seems to be put on all of them, regardless of engine size. Unsure if that is intentional on on their part. Re: test, getting on it...not got round to it yet, so damn busy, struggling for time.

    I'm a fairly new subscriber to the channel so forgive me if I'm repeating this question but why do you not take these reviews out on the road. To be able to truly get a feel for the bike I would think one would have to ride it in different conditions and log on at least a few klms or have you already done that and just shortened things for your review ? Just curious.

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi, some of these we get as demo's from the manufacturers, others, we get new bikes come through that have not yet been registered so cannot go on the road. You are right and where we can we take bikes out. Sadly cannot do so on all of them so are restricted to privately owned roads and tracks.

      A man in Algeria removed the Keeway stickers and put Harley Davidson Sportster stickers on the tank. I would never do that, but I would remove the Keeway stickers just because I like the generic look. I am seriously considering a 202 in February or March next year. They sell for less than 2000 US dollars here in Algeria.

    How reliable are keeway in your opinion you think any bike from then would survive 2 year with out tearing apart?

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a lot of bikes coming through and I agree, there are some that just cannot go the distance, but that is reflected in the price...almost a throw away price bike. However, there re some manufacturers like Keeway, AJS and others that seem to be producing higher quality products with greater longevity. The problem is that a lot of them are still in their infancy, so it is difficult to know right now. I guess time will tell.

      My friend has a 2013 Keeway still on the road in 2018 has about 14k miles on now its mechanically sound regular services and just general maintenance and things will last. The only issue with Keeway is they seem to charge premium prices for their parts when they are a Chinese Brand and to add to the insult MotoGB the only company selling parts at the time wanted about £9.50 postage flat fee was no other options even on tiny items like a gasket.

    I am thinking about buying this cruiser. However i am worried about long distance travel with it. I don't do it often, but sometimes the need to travel between cities (about 200-300km) might arise. I am quite short 168 and around 70-75 kg. Considering the 125cc and the not so spacious fuel tank, you think i could manage the occasionally trip? And if yes, would the engine be able to handle it?

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With 125's prolonged top speed never does them good as they are not designed to run flat out for long periods of time. However I rode my liquid cooled 125 Mondial for 2 hours straight at 60-70. The cruiser will be comfortable at 50-55 and as long as you stop every hour or so for a quick break, I don't forsee any issues.

      Keeway through the Benelli dealer (which I think is the same as they bought Benelli) are selling the 202 197cc model here in Algeria for just under $2000 US. It doesn’t have fuel injection and the warranty is only 1 year or 20,000 kilometers whichever comes first.
