It is great that Tropical Hut get more coverage recently because of social media. I was afraid their branches all slowly die because all are only about Jollibee now.
Burger meat is better there, Spaghetti are better there, and the Club Sandwich is also nice with the salad.
How about a TRABAJO preparing food at Tropical Hut? As they said to you, they are reall the OG of the Fast Food in the Philippines, and this would be great for your show but also for them. Many companies in their situation would have used cheaper ingredients in those days and with less customers as Jollibee, yet they still kept the quality up.

I suggest bf homes pque branch, i worked there 14yrs ago, and that branch is so busy. And top branch in terms of sales by that time.
It is partly their fault for not expanding outside Metro Manila when they have a chance.
I think Tropical Hut is the first ever fast food chain here in PH. They are the real OG. Good thing they got some spotlight recently.
Finally, someone addressed the spice element in Jollibee Spaghetti! That’s what I love the most about jolly spaghetti, that nice little kick. Recently, though, I’ve been fond of Popeyes spaghetti. I just can’t get enough of it!

Tropical Hut's food can easily beat other fast food items. So happy social media is giving it's well deserved spotlight. You should also try their entire menu. I always go back for their spring chicken, burgers, chicken sandwich, clubhouse sandwich, and their breakfast bangus.

Clubhouse sandwich parin sakin sobrang heart warming kala mo nag picnic ka at bmalik sa pagkabata ksma mga magulang mo.
Jollibee and Mcdo para sa kiddos
Tropical Hut para sa tanders
Greenwich para sa college kids (para maiba naman sa kinalakihang mcdo at jabee)
Amber's para sa Makati office workers (basta may pakain sa office, matik may Amber's spag at palabok hahaha)

tnx for bringing tropical hut in ur vlog, its a favorite among the older generations like(30yrs old above) specially among our parents when it comes to their quality burgers and hamburger steak which is sold only on 24hr shops, in terms of taste and quality it can go toe to toe or event beat the bigger fast food chains in the philippines, tropical hut's burgers,palabok, and fried chicken are among there best sellers, that quick fried beef is also worth trying, back in the day they even sell chicken katsudon, the spring chicken is also good, the clubhouse sandwich is a good buy also, and they sell legit pineapple juice, not the fruit cocktail juice that the other fast food chains sell. the last time i ate was way back in 2009 in gotesco grand central, and another thing is that tropical hut is a famous waiting area for meet ups ^__^ ,
Greenwich specializes in pasta and pizza so it's going to be way better than the others. I do like TH because of the Sunday brunch vibes it gives, Jobee for nostalgia, Mcdo - pass. LOLOL!
i feel you, jessica!!!!!!! i love greenwich’s spaghetti better than jollibee and mcdonalds tbh. greenwich’s spaghetti isnt super sweet and the meaty flavor is strong. it is really good. lagyan pa ng garlic stix! yum! want to try tropical hut nexttime
mcdo in some branches now look and taste like someone ate and vommitted Jolly Spaghetti. I prefer Mcdo soaghetti. so i dont know what happened.

Unpopular opinion but I love Greenwich spaghetti the most ❤ I grew up eating Jolibee spag but Greenwich fits my taste buds the best.

Tropical Hit is the very first Fast food burger chain in the Philippines. Tropical Hut already exist since before Jollibee and McDonalds. They are very first real American Burger tasteful delicious than existing leading brands.
Eh? What? This is a big jump. I've been hearing about this dish for years, and live about a hundred miles from a Jollibees (here in FLorida), but Jollibees and home versions are all I ever hear about. Now it looks like an INDUSTRY. This was all unheard-of just a few years ago. A few weeks ago a local market (in my small college town) started selling pre made Pinoy Spaghetti Sauce in foil packs, it's not expensive. They have cases of it sitting on the floor, it looks like its selling. Might be just the thing for students! Anyway this is interesting information, since it's a new kind of food, and we have to make it at home still. So it's good to see what the variations are. When I first heard of this (Spaghetti Naporitan from Japan) it seemed outrageous, we didn't cook with tomato catsup at that time, it was shocking. Now (decades later!) I'm doing it myself. I think this actually seems comfortable b/c I ate canned pasta products when I was a kid! So I'm already used to overcooked spaghetti and sweet tomato sauce, from childhood.
You should try more stuff from Tropical Hut, like their breakfast menu and sandwiches. Just make sure to have them cook the egg whites properly.😂 That's the one issue I have with Tropical Hut.

Even as a Gen Z, Tropical Hut is one of my go-to comfort food! It's just sad that most of its branches closed and due to the rise of various fast-food establishments its popularity really went under, including the only branch in my area was gone so I'm not sure where to look for it again. ಥ‿ಥ For me, I think they really embodies the classic Filipino cooking, comforting and delicious!

Mercury Drug is the parent company of tropical hut so with MDC money they won’t go down that easy.

Agreed, I'll pick Greenwhich spaghetti too. I'm not a fan of sweet pasta as well but I can tolerate it with Greenwhich.
I hope McDo brings back the original timpla ng spag nila. mas masarap kesa sa current taste😢 and it was my fave, definitely better than jollibee

Everyone order from grab tropical hut. Theyre buckets are way cheaper it’s more onion forward though fyi. And then also dandwiches and rice toppings and burgers and group meals. Good man good.
In our place , Jollibee and Mcdo are everywhere. The 3 are not so popular here in our province, that's why, Jobi or mcdo is the only choices we had. Kudos to all.😊

I personally think na greenwich is better sa mga foods with rice and ulam. You know? like the spicy ulam on greenwich? yeah that one, they hit all the boxes on that one.

(didn't include Amber because I'm not familiar with it)
I like the bell pepper taste flavor of greenwhich, Tropical hut is good as well.
The least maybe the Jollibee coz it's too sweet, But it's perfect for kids.
With Mcdo, I agree with the not fully cooked pasta. Haha That's why I like it more than Jollibee and Greenwhich kasi i don't like yong almost latang? (Idk if lata is also the Filipino of lata 😂) noodles na siya.
what's sad about McDonald's spaghetti is it used to be more tangy tapos they reformulated it to be more "kid-friendly" and now it's like SOOOOOOOO freaking sweet, inedible na nga for me lmao
Tropical Hut has alot of Good and Quality Foods than any other Fastfood Chain ... Next time Miss Jessica , you should try the Clubhouse Sandwich and Macaroni Salad ....
Ambers, Mcdo and jollibee is my top 3. Overrated lang yung jollibee because of the nostalgia feels pero with the new taste of Mcdo spaghetti, for me better ngayon yung mcdo.

i remember when i was in grade7, we had a field trip. we had to stop by to eat before going to star city and i remember going to that tropical hut. at first i thought twas like a branch of jollibee cuz the taste were nearly the same. i eat the whole meal thinking twas jollibee. thats how good the food there is.
Never heard of Tropical Hut. It seems they only operate in Luzon. I live in Cebu and we have similar fast food/diner chains (My Joy & Orange Brutus) which I'm sure other provinces also have their own versions. Love these chains tho cos you always find unique finds. If you ever try Orange Brutus, they have the best Chocolate Monster cake and chicken skin. Reminds me so much of the chocolate cake in the movie Matilda. So nostalgic!
JOLLIBEE WAS THE CHEAPEST BUT MEATIER, CHEESIER, MORE HOTDOG AND DELICIOUS THAN THE OTHER (MAYBE DEPENDS ON FRANCHISE) WHEN WE SAY JOLLIBEE IT'S CHICKEN-GRAVY AND SPAGHETTI, MCDO FOR FRIES, ALAKING, GREENWICH FOR PIZZA

I love Tropical Hut spaghetti and chicken. And almost anything from their menu 😅 There's tropical hut near my house so from childhood laging tropical hut. Nagkaroon lang ng Jollibee sa amin noong high school na ako.
Sana may tropical dito sa bundok namin (Antipolo). Bababa pa kasi ako para sa pinakamalapit eh. Hehehe. 😅
The prices revealed made it easier to guess, I suggest prices shouldn't be reveal at all in my opinion. Overalls it's good content as usual just minus one part which is giving the prices of the item. This is feedback not hating so don't hate me :P

I beg to disagree that pinoy spaghetti should not be al dente. For me, pinoy spaghetti is just the sauce and not the pasta. It just so happened that probably majority of Filipinos cook the cheaper pasta noodles which is easier to overcook if you are not careful with the cooking time. I still like my pinoy spaghetti al dente with lots of cheese.
Tropical Hut spaghetti masarap talaga. Mas gusto ko siya kesa Jollibee although masarap din Jollibee. Madami masasarap sa menu ng Tropical Hut like macaroni salad, spring chicken, clubhouse sandwich. Masarap din spaghetti ng Iceberg, as in. Nakakamiss yung lumang monumento saka grand central hehe. Paborito ko sa Greenwich yung lasagna.

My fave is Tropical Hut.. And it has a variety of foods in the menu.. Super love their spag with bread❤
Jollibee always sets the bar. But for me though, I wouldn't know amber and tropical hut has spaghetti worth trying. Lol. And also, yeah, bite me, but everything in mcdo is really not good other than the sundaes. Fries too but only if you eat it when you get it, if you leave it too long or let it go cold, forget about it..

Sayang wala ng Cindy's actuallly ansarap spag at bbq dun eh. Parang meron pa ata sa pampanga pero sana may mag invest para makapag expand ulit sila.
May Cindy's pa. Pero karamihan sa branches nila, puro pastries yung binebenta. Sa Santiago, Isabela tsaka sa Urdaneta meron pa nung Resto/Bakery nila. Layo lang pero baka worth a try.

1. Tropical Hut is an old fast food chain in the PH and I can say that their spaghetti has a unique taste, its like they put condensed milk into it.
2. Jollibee Spaghetti, I can agree with you, its cheapest and delicious and my bias for me actually.
3. Mcdo Spaghetti, my family and I don't like it because it has too much banana ketchup flavor, they changed the sauce flavor since I was kid and I remember the taste, it's very creamy before.
4. Greenwich. I don't like it for me because of the herb spice flavor and it leaves me some kind of aftertaste that made me don't like it more.
5. Amber. I don't have this in my area maybe because its only few branches and new yet, so I don't know.
Overall I love it as a kid and even now as an adult. I'm okay with Italian spaghettis but I don't want American Spaghetti because its too sour. I prefer sweet than savory.

Ang pusong pinoy or laking pinas, or pinoy, lumaki at tumanda ka man, pag spaghetti eh talagang sweet or style mga ganyan, like Jollibee talaga, or amber, so if hindi mo trip as korean, kasi pag talaga pinoy ka, ganun talaga, then same as kami siguro if napunta kami sa ibang bansa din, same lang

I would know Jollibee and Amber's sphagetti even when I didn't taste it... Mcdo for me fails when it comes to chicken and sphagetti... I am not really a fan of sphagetti too I like lasagna and carbonara much better
I actually like the current McSpaghetti but I observed that they do it inconsistently. The quality depends on the branch, maybe the staff also don't like the new recipe and just gave up on it 🤣

It's Jollibee's sauce with pasta that's not OVERCOOKED. Istg it's always overcooked.
You can try our spaghetti, bilo bilo, cheesy cassava suman, turon, or muron suman without the peanuts. 😁

I remember when I was a kid. Tropical Hut had Television commercials. So I thought it's like a huge fastfood chain, like Greenwich, and McDonald's. Tropical Hut and Jollibee are just starting to rise up. And Now Jollibee is one of Biggest Corporation. It's sad that TH didn't blow up, because I think it's a family run business. But I'm glad they're still around.
