- In today's vlog, I go for a walk around the Nimmanhaemin / Suthep area of Chiang Mai. First, I drop off some unwanted clothes at the local donations shop and then I stumble on a new Hotel that I saw getting built about 1 year ago. I ended up having a look around the awesome G NIMMAN HOTEL, which could be mistaken for a Space Ship from the outside.

That hotel aesthetically looks amazing , but I can imagine the way it’s designed , people in the pool splashing and talking would magnifier like a speaker up and around that circular lobby in to every room in the hotel
Yeah, it could get noisy with the pool right outside the door.

Really nice hotel. A bit more than my usual price point, but if you want to stay somewhere nice for a few days in a great location why not? About 2000 THB on Agoda for a random date in a few weeks.
That's right Philip, this place is set up for just a couple nights max in Chiang Mai i think. It would be great for that. Good to know that it's cheaper on Agoda.

Hi Wayne only just found your channel and catching up on your videos - def will checkout that Futuristic hotel! As a scooter fan and seeing there are tons out in Thailand what is the scooter theft like? It seems riders just rock up on scooter and park. Is scooter theft low in Thailand?
Hi Steven, thanks for watching the channel mate. Scooter theft does happen here but it's something that never crosses my mind. I park anywhere mate. Like i mentioned, it does happen but this is one of the safest places i've ever been.

I don't think this place does monthly deals but yeah , it would be expensive paying the daily rate for a month .

Oh really, I didn't know that. They told me no monthly. 100,000 steep but people will pay it .
Just to put things into perspective, we are staying at sunny days hotel, 7500 baht a month, we have a friend staying there and he likes it a lot, that fancy hotel is 14 times more money a month
Yeah that's right. I think it will be mainly short holiday makers at this place. I've seen even more expensive aswell.

That place seems pretty expensive for how minimal it is. I reserved a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen and private balcony that includes a spa, restaurant, pool, free breakfast... for only $55 a night
I think the attraction is the minimal and futuristic look. Sure, loads of cheaper places around but this is something different for someone staying 1 or 2 nights i think. Thanks

What a nice tour guide she was. The price is a little steep for Chiang Mai but maybe not for somebody there for holiday. And if the other staff is as nice as her it might make for a pleasant stay.
She was a nice woman, very helpful. Yes, this place is set up for someone who wants a nice holiday for short term. Great place.
It's good to see my old neighborhood!😁Next time I come to visit, I'm going to stay back in the old town, I prefer that to Nimman. That hotel is very cool, but I don't think I'd spend that much in Chiang Mai.
It's a very cool Hotel but i think it's set up for a 1 or 2 night holiday stay. Old city is a great place to stay. Hope life is good Becky 👍

That hotel does look good. Normally when in town we stay up in Chang Peuak (at a much lower cost), but I think we might treat ourselves to a couple of nights there 😁

@@WalkAboutWayne mine cuts off until the engine warms up. Turned the screw but not much difference. Been like that for a year. Think it could of been when I used e10 fuel so will try to research how to clean myself. Back on e5.

Hang Dong, Saraphi, Santitham. It all depends what you want on the door step. If you want more rural or city life.
