Hi guys! I now know that The Book Thief isn’t a ‘dark academia’ book. I only thought this as it is under a ‘dark academia books’ category list on goodreads, and I saw somebody say it on tiktok! My apologies 🤍
The book thief is one of my favorite books, it genuinely moves your soul in the best way but it did make me cry when I read it. The narrator is one that I had never seen before and it’s just sooo good
So many great books bestie!!👏🏼 I also need to continue with the chestnut springs series! I hope you love the addicted series and once upon a broken heart series as this year they’ve both become two of my fave series! I also need to start the magnolia parks series but I’m kinda hesitant 🫢 I’m also finally hoping to get to six of crows and crooked kingdom🤞🏻
I normally stick to the normal book tubers (Sara and des) but there is something so comforting and your account. Hope I don’t sound too weird😂 but I’m not sure I just love your whole aura💞💞
loved this video and all your videos i didn’t read shadow and bone beforehand and if i had six of crows would have been 5* (4* rating & gave 5* to crooked kingdom though) without the context the first 100 or so pages were so confusing, but after that everything makes more sense!! i still haven’t read shadow and bone and six of crows duology is one of my 6* series overall i would say you can enjoy six of crows without reading shadow and bone but would be more enjoyable if you have!
oh yess to add this is the grisha reading order .shadow and bone .siege and storm .ruin and rising .(demon in the wood- the darklings backstory graphic novel-optional) .six of crows .crooked kingdom .king of scars(stars a character from siege and storm and six of crows) .rule of wolves
For the grishaverse, you don't HAVE to read shadow and bone before reading six of crows but going into the six of crows world can be a little bit confusing because shadow and bone has more world building i feel like. it's not as good as six of crows and crooked kingdom but i'd still recommend reading it beforehand because i read six of crows first and it kinda confused me for a while. totally up to you though! please read six of crows eventually tho its like the best book ever omg. Also amazing video, love your channel!
omg ingore the comments saying dont read the grisha triology! its a must read!!! you wont understand what theyre talking about and omg i bet you will love the darkling and nikolai, both my faves !!! deffo a must readd buut the six of crows duology was 100x times better but the triology still has a place in my heart... love ur videos
What a great collection of books!! You don’t HAVE to read the shadow and bone trilogy before the six of crows duology but I found reading the trilogy first helped create a basis for the world
personally, i wouldn't bother with the grisha trilogy before going into the six of crows duology. the duology is so much better in my opinion. you might be a little confused for the first 30 pages or so if you skip the trilogy but that's kind of the norm with fantasy anyway. i gave the duology 5⭐ & the trilogy 2-4⭐
Always love your videos so much! They are soo aesthetically pleasing. And so are your social media. 🥺🫶🏻 I totally agree btw, autumn season really is just the best there is. ✨🤌🏻🛋️🧡
Tw for the book thrift- child abuse. I wish I had known,I couldn’t make it through it. I couldn’t get past the mentality of how people treated kids back then.
I don't think The Book Thief is dark academia. Haven't read it yet though. Had it on my shelf for years. Got it cause I was interested in reading more WWII historical fiction and just couldn't get into it at the time.
I'm not 100% on that, though. It just doesn't sound like it is. And it IS a bit intimidating! I haven't really read WWII historical fiction since I was a teen and it's a chonky book. 😂 Well, whatever genre it ends up being, hope you enjoy it as well.

The Book Thief is definitely not dark academia. It deals with the Holocaust.
Of course, my mistake. I’m only repeating what I heard from a tiktok!
Also, it was on a ‘dark academia books’ category on goodreads so that’s my mistake!
Reckless is my fav ❤ just finished it

Ooo okay that’s good to know! I’m only going by what I’ve been told haha! I hope you enjoy it! I’ve been putting it off as it is intimidating! 🥹
