MiniVersity: The Kruger Collection

The latest D. Thomas MiniVersity features a lecture by Sophia Perdikaris, Professor of Anthropology and director of the School of Integrated Studies and at the University of Nebraska talked all about the Eloise Kruger Gallery of Miniatures on the campus of the university (Important Links below!)
The Kruger Collection consists of more than 20,000 small scale pieces and structure gifted to the university in 1997 and recently brought out from storage. The collection is now being overseen by Perdikaris who has been creating innovating gallery and educational programming to raise awareness of miniatures while keeping Mrs. Kruger's wishes alive to use her miniatures to inspire and teach about the world around us.
Professor Perdikaris shares some of the works from the collection, shows us the latest exhibition activity and takes us through some of the wonderful and engaging programs she has created to help activate and inspire students at UNL using the Kruger miniatures.
A Big thank you to Ms. Perdikaris for sharing her knowledge and for taking the time to take us through the awesome work she is doing at the university.
