As a drummer and drumming instructor, I don't think that Paul needed any kind of a disclaimer that he asked Chet to put in. He played wonderfully! Oh, and those drums sounded supersonic! That gut drum sounded so crisp and yet warm at the time! Those were some of the most pronounced, cleanest rim clicks when Paul was playing the bossa nova/samba. I agree with what they were saying regarding the Gene/Louie album. I have Chet's "Gretsch" and "Billy Gladstone" books. Both are really superb books. I recommend them to everybody.
