Graham was going to give him some 20 cent coffee. Timothy comes off as a douche & Linda is annoying. They perpetuate the stereotypes of what it means to be wealthy.
He hardly say anything in the video very disappointing.
I was thinking the same Timothy was really annoying. I really wanted to hear what Graham had to say.

😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣
@leonie kamara exactly and in third world countries there are fancy beautiful hotels too and probably he stayed there
Sereiouly tho, I have this friend whose parents are a primary school teacher and own a company so her house is a lot more nicer and prettier than mine when my mum is on minimum wage and only gets £140 per month for child maintenance from my dad in America, buying a house and living in a house in those conditions isn’t as easy as it looks.
You become homeless and when you try and find a job, you can’t because they have seen you sleeping in doorways then you feel everything getting worse and it’s not a nice feeling

"I was poor mentally and I was broke financially"
"But were you happy?"
no that's kinda what poor mentally means, not that he thought he was poor that he wasn't happy because his family kicked him out instead of renting a one-bedroom apartment and living together happily.
Honestly her and that one guy who said go mow lawns to get a few thousand dollars are what I imagine all rich people to be like. I've been mowing 20 lawns a day for 3 years and I have never once had over $1,000 in the bank
Immortal Warrior it depends on where you mow lawns, who, how many hours, and how much you ask, there is someone in my homplace that can get $1000+ just from that (not me) and it’s just medium low class homeplace
Timothy really said he traveled to third world countries to see what it's like to be poor. That has to be the most tone deaf thing I’ve ever heard on the internet. He will never nor will he ever experience what third world country poor is like for a single second of his life. Same thing as when privileged college girls go to third world countries to take pictures with the kids...
Yup, totally agree! I'm from a third world country who was born in a garbage dump. And I just can't with these comments. Never in his life and other privileged lives will ever know the pain, the struggle, that people in third world country have to face. I got lucky and was adopted.
@@mariaphares4783 Preach girl.
@@mariaphares4783 +1
That's so sad tbh. I live in a third-world country and my parents make about 7 dollars per day. How the hell can he jealous of that? Being in that situation did not only prevent us from getting education but also basic needs?
You’re missing the point and once again projecting your insecurities upon the rich. He acknowledged that he did not grow up poor so he doesn’t fully understand the experience. Him going to third world countries is not a way for him to assert his dominance over then but to acquire perspective from those living in those destitute conditions. Of course never having personally experienced first hand is not the same as attempting to experience it second hand but the comment served as him *trying* to understand the struggles poor people go through, which he clearly stated he has a hard time understanding (which should not be a bad thing). And when he said he was envious of the other millionaires upbringing, he wasn’t saying he wished to grow up being destitute and wretched poor like those in 3 world countries. He was saying he wished he had the opportunity to endure some of the struggles his fellow millionaires went through, because it could help him appreciate his current status more and provide more perspective to those less fortunate than him.
They literally high fived for never feeling poor. Jesus Christ the privilege is insane.
Thank you.
Did you not watch this video some of them were broke
Then don't be poor? Simple as that. Unless you have a disability or you're carrying someone else’s weight, then it's not your fault.
Everybody can get rich if they understand it's not always about school and getting a career. If you're a 16 year old and your parents are extremely broke, it is achievable to get rich by working your ass off and getting into real estate / business / etc. But most people don't put the effort in, you can take 90 hour weeks being drained, but people dont.

Like happiness doesn't have anything to do with being poor. Poor is not a mindset. It's a financial reality. Poor people can be happy, but still be poor. They face different struggles. Rich people can be sad and depressed, but their struggles are different in life. Poor is something in and of itself that you have to experience to know. Saying she's never been poor because she was happy is bull. she's probably never been poor period. saying they were broke, but really what does she mean by that? come on.
Having access to electricity is a privilege. Having access to a technological device is a privilege. Having the time to learn something instead of worrying about/struggling to survive, eat/have the energy to get food, having food to get, is all a privilege. Having the emotional/mental capacity to externalize your problems, to meditate through a difficult situation, is a PRIVILEGE. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

The fact that Timothy the millionaire has the nerve to say he’s jealous of them.. of the mindset… no poor person would every wish that life on another. It’s not just another experience you have in life. It quite literally becomes life or death at certain points. There’s a special place in the after life for Timothy. And it’s filled with fire
he didn't really say that, he said he's jealous that he didn't procure the values that the others did from the experience. indicating that he wish he had a stronger mental drive to become even more, not necessarily jealous of being poor....
Timothy saying that starting with 20-30k isn’t privilege is mind blowing lol. When some people are raised in conditions were they have to help pay their mama’s rent at 12yo and can barely get food at the store. the unawareness of privilege is mind blowing
Also $20k back in the 1990s when he started is more than many people's ANNUAL salary. 🥴

@Dan Wruck Then you're rich my friend..
Fuchsteufelswild Agreed. Being broke does not meant you can’t have other good things and being rich doesn’t mean everything is great. However, the question clearly meant poor as in “not having money”. If you lived in a penthouse while getting domestically abused, that is awful and I am so sorry that happened to you...but you weren’t poor. It’s a bad experience but that also wasn’t the question. It’s like being “my parents got divorced when I was young”, again, it sucks, but it’s not about being poor.
@Dan Wruck no poor is a Economic state

no way timothy just referred to this group of millionaires as average people in comparison to multi-billion companies
But… they ARE more like average people when compared to multibillion dollar companies…
well, use math logic.. they make millions a year.. those companies make trillions a day
Even though there are a lot of people living at or below the poverty line, millionaires are slowly becoming the “everyday average people” as more people reach that level. In comparison to how rich the mega-wealthy are. There are lots of people out there that would make Bill Gates and the lot look average by comparison. The amount of wealth that’s out there is insane.
@@enriqueisaacs8181 let me put this in perspective since “trillions (of dollars) a day” is a substantial overexaggeration for all but a few companies. these millionaires made at least a million dollars in their lifetime by definition. for a multibillion dollar company to increase their worth by another billion in a year requires a few millions of dollars per day.
I came expecting millionaire stereotypes to be broken but all they did was reinforce them, mainly Timothy and Linda.

Yos Channing I mean yeah but what does that matter? We came here looking for different outlooks but we got stereotypes.
@Miguel Hernandez well one stereotype us that they think extraordinarily hard while others don't and that's not true, but they believe it. I think there are 2 types of stereotypes:
Self made rich people
2nd gen or 3rd gen rich people.

"Well, actuaaallly, my husband used to be poor but now he drives a Lambo so that can't be true."
She really wanted to flex lmao
pro tip; marry a millionaire if you're poor
*a GOLDEN Lambo 🙂🙂🙂
she really annoyed me
Lmao that's literally what she said in a nutshell
Never heard of this Austin guy, but I really like when he speaks. I feel like I have to listen.
Love the video. I do think there should be a remake of this video with different in-depth questions with different millionaires of different ages
Did he just said “I’m jealous you were poor” wtf 🤦🏾♂️😭
People always want the things they don't have. Maybe being poor would give them thrill. Life must get boring at some point if you get everything you want.
I think he meant it more like "I wish i had the experience you did so i could be more understanding and more appreciative of what I have"
He said jealous of the mindset
probably because people appreciate other people who had nothing and still became millionares more
Those two did *not* just high five eachother for never being poor
I strongly disklike them. Strongly.
I really waited for this comment
Yea hella fucked up. I did laugh tho lmao
they highfivd each other because they were in the same position if someone poor did the same thing it would not be a problem but the fact that they are wealthy is making it a problem
i know right it *pissed me OFF*
I've always had an issue with the whole idea of being "self -made" because at the end of the day to achieve something wether it be advice, motivation or even monetary there are other people who were involved in helping you learn and get to where you are. No one gets to be successful with out others. I don't feel it is possible. I guess when someone says they are self made or asks if someone is self made the next thing to ask would be what do they define self made as 🤔
*Anyone talking mid sentence*
Timothy: let me tell you sum, let me tell you
LMAOOOO
everyone: excited that graham is in the video
graham: barely talks and just listens to others the entire video
Haha and he had opinions the opposite of what I expected sometimes. So I was confused and wanted to hear him out
EXACTLY 😂
Rayyjan I feel like he was annoyed by some of these people’s mentality. Especially that Timothy guy haha.
but he was so empathetic
A lot wasn't included in the video, we each had a chance to talk but what gets cut / included in editing is outside our control
Timothy is the type of dude to be like "omg you're homeless? Just by a house!"
Ema Shearin 💀💀💀
Ema Shearin he’s like the modern day version on Marie Antoinette!
Nah. He thinks that if you work hard and use your head then making money is just a matter of time. Which is true for a lot of people.
Unfortunately he doesn't quite realise how unfair the world is to many people. That many people do not have the opportunity or the sheer luck to be able to work hard to obtain success. Many poor people do work hard, do use their heads. But unfortunately it's not good enough.
hes willing to work hard, not dillydally
you can't succeed by being a lazy ass person, he is willing to put the work to it, but people are jealous cuz they think it's easy but still are not willing to change
"Us average people"
Ah, yes the average people in society, millionaires.
i died when they high fived because they agreed about never being poor.
Honestly!
*Disagreed about having felt poor
Yeah like what is there to be proud about
I love your username...Ijustcan't-
@@g.k.2156 ty :D
Funny to think all their money combined isn’t even near the amount that one 8 year old kid makes reviewing toys
C H truth
Lol
lol
It's less than 1 tenth the amount of money Mike Bloomberg has.
I see that kid's surprise egg things in Wal-mart now, he is rolling in it lmao
graham was the only who understood what is meant by "money can buy you happiness" and a lot of the others confused happiness for something else. money can buy you "Piece of mind" but that isn't the same thing as happiness.
No I disagree. Money allowed them to buy things that would make them happy. Graham is just a completely different person and having money doesn't affect his happiness. I would be happy not having to work 40 hour weeks to barely get by. Money will allow me to do this, therefore money will buy me happiness.
It’s absolutely insane how out of touch these people are. Linda really said as a homeless person you can rise to fame overnight. I would looooove to see her hit rock bottom and see if she still has that ideology.
I love how Graham really listens and doesn't feel the need to jump in and talk a bunch. He just seems so confident and present.
Rachel Blaise, yes
That’s that REAL money right there lol
Rachel Blaise I only clicked on this from graham pretty much and he didn’t even talk that much 😢
100% ! He's extremely humble. His channel is life changing if you practice what he preaches
@@ET0777 True! I am 13 and now all I think about is Credit cards, interest rates, real estate and more. I am going to buy Think and Grow rich just because of Graham!
He's still a landlord which makes him a leech. Landlords don't contribute anything, they just steal from other people's labor.
Why is Christiana thinking that she was actually poor when she went to prom in a Bentley and live in a penthouse
Victor Vu I believe what see was trying to say was that she had a “poor” mindset at the time of those events instead of being financially poor.
Jose Rubio Jr yeah but poor is not just a mindset, i think by the question they mean financially. that girl has never been financially poor or broke.
@@Cwinchk Mashallah tbark allah alhamudillah inshallah better
You guys are so judgemental. You can have a wealth family and still feel poor on the inside
poor in self-esteem. She felt really bad about herself i guess and that fuelled her way to success. Now she's rich in money and also other factors.
6:45 , It's us average people
I'm a little confused that they almost all interpreted feeling poor as feeling sad. They should have saved that response for the money buys happiness question. They just assume that money buys happiness so they think being sad but still having money means feeling poor.
*Except that 1 guy who disagreed with money buying happiness
Them: discusses their childhood poverty and struggles
Timothy: I’M jeAlOus oF YOu GuYS
Not about the struggle, about the experience. You could've atleast listened bruh
I feel like we all want to connect to that underdog story. I don't think he was trying to make light of it I think what he was trying to convey was he wish he had had more humbling experiences. I mean I could be wrong but that's what I took from it.
Luisa McGill I think you’re spot on
I don’t understand Linda, she strongly agreed that her privilege allowed her to become to rich but doesn’t believe inequality is a problem???
And beauty privelege? What beauty?
she is just speaking from experience. she is wrong in saying that it doesn't exist. but she is correct in saying that for some people, it is possible to alleviate that inequality. still wrong tho. lol.
@@mbccgliczsdnm7627 pretty simple idea. u look good. look credible on instagram. make money. something like that.
DJ StaRyu ik, you misread what I said. I was saying she doesn’t have beauty
Kira Li 667th like. Ur welcome
Just a quick Creed Bratton quote for any Americans who think they aren't privileged: "I already won the lottery, I was born in the U-S-of-A baby!" Almost anyone can make $15/hr here working as a cashier at a half empty store while people in 3rd world countries line up to work difficult af jobs all day for less than $1/hr
Well, but you are just on average shittier place to live then in EU and some other countries too. Magic of your medical care and expensive education and crazy debts.
this video explains why i love Graham so much
did the disagreers for “i know what it feels like to be poor” really just high five...
THE AUDACITY
Yes. For the celebration of not being poor. Please explain why that is a bad thing.
POOR IS A MINDSET
High-fiving like hey im better than you
Izuku Midoriya It’s not a circumstance everyone can control, some people are born into it. Would you shamelessly celebrate if someone had asked if you were disabled and you’re fortunate enough to not be? It just seemed a little inconsiderate is all
Christianna really just said that she knew what it was like being poor, while she was living in a penthouse. I just cannot get past that. Poor is not a synonym for unhappy. You don't get to say you were poor when you were beyond financially secure.
OMG yes. She kinda pissed me off in way when she said that. Like bruh you wasn't poor. More like you made a poor decision relationship wise.
Some of this people live detached from reality.
Facts
Scrolled through the comments immediately after hearing her spew that nonsense.
Bruh honestly and she brought up the "I went to prom in a Bently" like that is NOT poor... poor is barely able to make it through the months because you can't support yourself medically or with food
“Us average people” literally is a millionaire.
He's crazy out of touch
“I travel to third world countries to see what its like” Im sure you can find the same thing right in America
Anyone: I think that-
Timothy: *I disagree with that*
The black lady is pretty ignorant too
@@xxprogamingnationxx5141 howwwww?
Andrewoid You dont have to come from the very bottom to become self made.
June Bug30 That’s not vegan 😂
@Monokuma "Someone who had no help, no support, no nothing, and does it all on their own". Tell me how that is any different than what Tim said.
This girl Linda’s entire personality is her husband

She’s going off about her husband the entire time
But my husband 🤑
