The Polynesian Resort holds special, if somewhat bittersweet, memories for me. This was the last distant place that we stayed at as a whole family. Long before we had met, my wife and two of her girl friends from college had vacationed in Hawaii. During her second and final period of remission, she wanted to take another vacation, but flying half way across the continent and then half way across the Pacific Ocean was not something that she wanted to do. So a doable thing was to fly half way across the continent in the opposite direction and book a stay at this beautiful resort in the Hawaii longhouse. This would have been the summer of 2004. We had a ground floor room on the Quiet Pool side and even had a brief visit from a curious Disney duck.
We're having our 1st stay at the Poly next month for our 20th wedding anniversary. Can't wait! Great video.
When I was little I went to the restaurant (15:11) and it brings back so much good memories!

I appreciate this kind of detailed, leisurely tour so much! It covers the kind of details--layout, decor, amenities, etc.--that I always want to stop and explore when I visit but never have the time to actually do.
Phenomenal video tour! My husband and I have never been to WDW & we’re planning/saving for our first trip in either 2023 or 2025! I know the Polynesian Resort is currently having renovations done, but we are so looking forward to staying there in the near future! Reminds us so much of our honeymoon at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa!

I love the Polynesian! Thank you so much for this. I stayed here in 2017 for free in the Moorea House - a friend of mine's Dad was a DVC member so he got us a room for our BFF trip. We ate at Kona Cafe and it was so refreshing to try someplace new. I had the Tonga Toast and it was incredible! The hotel smell in the Main Ceremonial House is my absolute favorite!! I really feel like I'm truly on a Disney vacation when I walk through Polynesian and Grand Floridian!
Poly is by far the best.

Great resort tour! These are sooo helpful even if you're not staying there! Jenna once mentioned beating the crowds & getting Dole Whip here, so I"monorailed" there, had an AMAZING rice/veggie meal from the fast food bar, watched fireworks near the pool, & of course the dole whip! perfect!
What is Dole whip? Whipped cream made with pineapple?
Mom and Dad only stayed at the Polynesian no other resorts, I have to say it is beautiful. We have walked through the grounds a few times and enjoyed our tour of the resort. We are also sad the big flower garden in the lobby was taken away. We have stayed at a few DVC resorts over the years and enjoyed all of them. Once again GREAT TOUR and your narration was excellent as always.Hope to meet you folks when we come down in May. Tom and Maureen LINY

I just watched this again while enjoying a nice breakfast on a Sunday Quarantine morning. It was a nice diversion, and very thorough. If you guys make another one like this in another year or two may I suggest an enhancement: perhaps include a map of the resort which you bring up occasionally in one corner which highlights the particular area being explored. I understand most of it but that would be great for a novice to put things into perspective. Great work as usual - and stay healthy!
What a great tour! Not only is this video great for first time visitors, it’s perfect for those of us who love the resort. The picture and sound quality are top notch. Josh, all you need to do is capture the amazing smell and put it in the video and I would feel like I was standing in the lobby! Great job!!

I agree on the missing waterfall & large tropical plant centerpiece of the great ceremonial house- understand they added seating & flow of traffic but that centerpiece was spectacular!❤️🌺🌴

I Love the Polynesian, I Honestly miss the Waterfalls in the lobby too. But it is still great, tropical, and just nice and who saw that hidden mickeys at: 21:41

Should do Shades of Green - it's the most under rated unknown resort on Disney world property. Location, quality, etc it's all there. Granted you have to be military but let's not let that hold us back from giving it the props it deserves.
