my problem with this particular Dal is. I end up drinking it like a soup more than using it as a curry. This dish is so perfectly addicting. the tamirind pulp and sometimes they also add lemon juice. after tempering it with cumin seeds. its just irresistable.

Some recipes taste good with a good amount of fat...either ghee or oil. One can substitute. That dal is sufficient for 10 people if some other subzi etc is also available. That oil looks like about 100to150ml. Divide by 10. Not bad. Dish is divine 👌
