I appreciate the more in-depth rundown of these patch notes. Yours is really the only Tarkov channel I’ve watched for a long time now, and it’s stuff like this that actually encourages me to get back into the game

This is the first time I can think of where the patch was like...a massive net W. Usually there's always a bunch of things going wrong. Bad implementations, things not working, etc. But everything they've given us this time around has been perfect. Usual "starting quest" problems aside, the map is great. Vaulting is great, the recoil is great, the ammo rebalancing is...weird but w/e, everything just works.
Don't get to high on it yet. Sometimes it takes days or weeks for big issues to show up. Remember the invisible player thing? That took over week for folks to realize it was going on.

Regardless of bug potential, gameplay direction wise you're right. Massive net W. Guns are, you know... usable. There was no excuse for there to be such emphasis on specific weapon mods to make a gun usable. Realistically the base guns should be usable... and they are now. Which means almost any and all mods should only improve the base gun's viability and the emphasis is now more on player preference than chasing a stupid meta. It's glorious. Net dub.
I'm not a fan of the new map in terms of the pvp centric approach. Every single raid, I run into someone within the first minute of the raid, or they run into me. It feels like a battle royale map true to form.
I dunno recoil seems terrible, in other words there is no recoil. It seems to me another case of BSG making the game easier for spoon fed western players.
As a starter zone ground is just bad it doesn't show you how to play and is loaded with scavs and mines. Doesn't even show you extractions its basically scav on noobs zone
One nice detail with the vaulting is that if your arm is blacked out/broken your pmc takes damage.
Really appreciate your style of presenting the info on this game. Easy to put on in the bg while organizing stash/ hideout mgmt between raids. Thanks man.
Had to remind myself to hit the like button for my homie. I like this patch, but it's bittersweet. My Tarkov bottom b&tch just quit gaming for good after getting dumped by his GF. Said he had to change his life and win her back. Now I feel like I got dumped, and Tarkov just became much more lonely. Other than that, it was a fantastic patch once the servers settled down.

@@Airwingmarine It's the highest honor I could bestow upon him. He was legendary. Always holding it down. Always had my back when the rest of the group held back. He and I could push into dorms and clear the building. He was nuts to butts when we would stack on a door. When I opened the door, he was the guy with the flashbang or g-nade. He was the guy who threw his Serv kit on the ground and did not ask for it back. We would get ambushed, and he just knew what I was doing. Damn, he made me a better gamer all around. The best of all of us. Gonna miss him while he's on his journey. Bottom b&tch is the highest honor I could bestow upon him. Always holding it down. Always watching my 6 while I watched his. We went through 9 wipes together.

I play with my german friend on the East server because its all that will let the both of us connect with sub100 ping
I always despised sniping or ambush weapons because 9/10 times the arm will eat a shot meant for the thorax. Sides, head on, or from a wonky angle it seemed to not hit dead center (but not the arm either) but because its closer to the arm always got eaten by the arm
cant wait to snipe now, actually make use of the high pen ammo and blow through or around someones thinner arm hitbox and past their nonexistent sidearmor
vaulting with a broken arm hurts you like jumping with a broken leg, which I thought was interesting. scared the crap out of me the first time though.
ive found 3 new stashes on interchange on my scav raid b4 it bugged and now my scav goes back in time everytime i extract like i never did the raid to begin with
The quest where you have to take the car extract on Ground zero completed for me just because i died. It did the same for my buddy lol. And i swear ive randomly had 1-2 other quests complete random parts without me actually getting the objective done

New map was enjoyable at first but constantly being killed at the REQUIRED quest locations killed it for me. Odd though, what if i don't do quests until level 20? Will i have to reset my account?

22:25 No, you don't stop immediately. When running into an obstacle, your character takes a couple more steps and then stops, so going around corners is not a problem.

also I was surprised when the shoulder swap didnt alternate hands
it'd be cool to have an ambi merc instead of them learning to shoot the way poor lefthanded shooters must with our righthanded non ambi firearms
What weapons have you found to be the best since the recoil rework, are fals good again?
Haven't got that far. M4s are disgusting, even bone stock with iron sights.
My guess as gear gets unlocked fast shooting and heavy hitting guns are gonna be the meta. It'll be the 2020 Val/SA-58 PvP experience all over again.
I havn't looked into the SIG Spear yet, but if it's ammo is anything like it's IRL version, it will be a monster.
Fixed 1200 bugs, created 12000 new ones.
Lets just hope the updates dont get TWICE as slow. Since they have two games to update now...
the thing with the plates is they're level 3 by NATO standard(NIJ rating), but level 4 by russian standard (GOST rating) and BSG uses GOST for Tarkov statistics, but the plates use their actual names IRL so they're called level 3
NIJ IV = lvl 6
NIJ III+ = lvl 5
NIJ III = lvl 4
Thanks for the update man, Im really excited to see what this wipe brings especially for those of us who are primarily solo players or small groups. The recoil definitely helps to level the playing field for those with weapons that arent kitted. Semper Fi from another winger.
So i blew up to the office mine on first playthrough. Somehow triggered my quests as complete. Lost my gear but happy with the trade off 😅
The part you pointed out about arm size changing seems off. I have had my arms shot off much more so far this wipe than ever. It also feels like the scavs are a bit cracked, maybe because I'm terrible. They got the recoil buff as well it seems.
The exact same thing happened to me. 10 minutes matching, thought it was a bug, couldn't get back in for like 6 hours after lol

In 1v1 fight looking at someone they swing peak me and head ears. So. Either dsync or ear hit box does stick out and giving someone a piercing is lethal.
I asked the devs at TwitchCon specifically about this and got a very detailed explanation. On my list of things to include in a video so folks understand it.

It's dynamic loot. They aren't removed, they just aren't always there. There are new ones too.

@cookiesnmemes179 the "routes" don't exist anymore. There is still a *chance* for stashes to spawn, so theoretically, you can still run a similar route as in his video, but don't plan on encountering all of them in one raid.
As a side note, there isn't a guaranteed number of stashes to spawn in the raid either. It is random.

Dude I wanted to hate on it so bad and the jury’s still out on whether I’ll stick around for the whole wipe but I jumped into it trying to shit on the game and actually had fun in my one raid. Damn you BSG..

Scavs def roam farther. Had one come check out me and my duo slaughter a 3 stack at USEC camp from radio tower. He scared the shit outta me. But super cool, should feel more realistic and should make killing scav quests easier.
0 survives on day 1 for me on Ground Zero. Interestingly though after I died in my first raid it said I completed Skier’s car extract quest for Ground Zero so I handed that in, hope BSG don’t take the completed status on that away from me 😂

Anyone know about built-in armour if it is behind/ front of plates and also needs to be penetrated after the plate as well...
eg it is double protection lv3 plate then lv2 fabric both need to be penetrated...
(understand hits not on plate will hit the fabric only)

my problem with the old recoil is that its almost impossible to maintain a sight picture without have 200k builds. im not sry that your avg player can compete with no life players. roubles cant save you now and thats how it should be and lets not forget the new recoil is far closer to how guns actual look to someone that knows how to shoot. i hope they dont ruin it. just keep it to where a sight picture can be maintained will spraying.
The old recoil system was definitely unrealistic, it was cranked up to 10

Thats what a wipe is, the devs hard reset the servers with the new patch so that everyone starts fresh.

Came back after a wipe away and I can't say my appreciation for the game has gone up any, especially now that this map that's supposed to be for new players has spawns that are basically guaranteed death sentences, but I still love your videos because of how solid your presentation is. git gud. xD fr tho i had the same problem, eventually i learned the spawns so i know where other players are to set up a fair fight or even get the drop. i even almost wiped a 3 man squad but got greed for the last guy :P

it has nothing to do with being a streamer to get in, idk if you were there at wipe hour and hours preceding it, but there were lots of big streamers not getting in
