I relate more to the spiritualized INFJ. My speaking style is often blunt, to the point, presented with truth and logic, but with a hint of diplomacy. Imagine the paradox, lol. If I am met with rebuttal, I will then resort to asking questions so others can self reflect. At that time, I may also present metaphoric analogies to help explain my perspective, but only if needed.

Oo, finally coming out of that meaning-making tent to inform others of better ways of framing/defining/conceptualizing… letting us know how current beliefs, narratives, perspectives shaped by the current time and environment are affecting us, what kinds of outcomes it leads to… and possible alternatives… creating language to help see through the noise.
As a non-INFJ, I relate to having to adapt my own language based on who I am around or my immediate environment… which creates a kind of dullness and itch if I don’t have people to interact in my preferred way… though also needing to seek out others I can interact in my preferred ways. (My Ne gets blue balled sometimes)
Now I’m curious what it is like with all Types having to adapt to different situations or people when opening up or speaking in their native type tongue (assuming there is such a thing)… how much can we actually adapt, learn?

When I was a teenaged INFJ (and full of angst) I would use a lot of metaphor and such - it drove my sensor mother crazy and I was accused of being ridiculously dramatic - makes sense as a solipsistic I suppose

Oo, now I am curious to hear some of the kinds of juicy things you used to say! 😂 If I recall correctly, one of my type books by Lenore Thomson, talks about an INFJ son being forced to comply to mow the lawn, but instead of complying, he wrote his dad a brilliant poem describing the anger felt from being coerced.

Hello Ren, Thanks for answering that particular question.
I think I mentioned this in a few videos back about how I recognized certain INFJs speech patterns along with myself and it's really interesting when compared to other MBTI personalities whom I often think are more direct and clear cut than myself (I tend to faulter because I'm hearing myself talk, think and retalk in the middle of the sentence which exhaust me).
But yes, I do agree that it's impossible to be direct all the time and be blunt because not every situation requires it to be so.
    Here are some questions:
    1) Why do people tend to mistype characters/actors as INFJ all because they say one thing that is "INFJish" or happen to have white hair (in this case, anime or certain fantasy shows) even though they are not?
    2) Why do people take one look at us and think that they know us well but when we do something "spontaneous," they act shock?
3)What are your thoughts about Carl jungs "Shadow self," theory and do you think it's similar to the "unhealthy/healthy" mbti terms?
    4) Do you think our ability to read and look into deeper meanings is because other mbti's don't mean what they say?
    5) Do you think the ocean theory you had is differently structured in a solipsitic infj vs a spiritualized infj or is it all the same?

It may also depend on your profession. I have to be quite 'split' . When working with my INTJ IT colleagues I have dial back the metaphor.

I write my self reflective prose and poetry from that drawer. I have a different drawer for more practical work. I've developed the skill of non-metaphoric speaking. It's pretty boring.

Me too! There is the real me and then the work me lol. I have to dial back my metaphor when dealing with my IT colleagues. I still do it but to a lesser degree.
