There was a link hidden down in the description to another video showing the very similar Firecan Deluxe in use if it helps. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/BF_Qy9uCQMw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OQ4hZn6nBVeu0xIA
With the vents on the side, it definitely reacts to the wind. I haven't had it blow out or be super impacted by wind, but I also don't get wind that strong in the midwest.
@AllThingsOverlanding I guess if bad wind, one shouldn't use it anyway. Seems like no matter which way I go, I get into wind once or twice a year. A few years ago, in extreme fire danger and wind, even this wouldn't have been allowed. Deputies and forest service and fire department drove around constantly to make sure. They had good reason. I see some guys get lava rocks for the Ignik, don't know if needed. I may need an Elite for Christmas!
Thanks you for posting this video I am liking the idea of the Elite as seems to be a more dedicated fire pit unit. As the deluxe could cook food but really would never cook on it as own a bigger Propane Camp stove & can not see my self only taking Ignik Deluxe as my only cooking source.
Everything but showing the height of the flame. I have their first edition and love it but wish the flames would go higher. Any chance you have a clip of it in use on high?
Ha, good call. I would guess that it's similar to the first edition. Only complaint I've had or heard from others it that it's not quite as big a flame (or as much heat) as similar options.
Hi TILB I just watched someone else's video showing all 3 of the Ignik ammo can sizes fire pits. It had lots of video time showing the flame of the difference 3 units. But in short the Elite has the tallest flame.
Hey fletch! Off topic question but I’ve been having a problem that i thought you might be able to help me with. I’m running a small fridge off an eco flow river. When i plug the river into the truck (22 Colorado zr2)12V it kills the battery and causes power steering issues. I replaced the original battery [only 15k miles)but the 2nd one did the same thing. Any thoughts? I always thought you could charge the power station from the battery while driving. Any help is appreciated.
Dude, that’s super weird. I’ve always been able to plug external power banks into my dc plugs on my Nissans with no problems. Maybe there’s a Colorado specific forum out there with an answer to this issue? Sorry I don’t have more info!
🤦🏻♂️i knew i should’ve bought a frontier lol. Thanks for the reply. I’ve search all over and no one knows why. Probably gonna look at solar panels and just bypass using the truck battery altogether.
For me, it's nice because I connect mine to a 5 pound propane tank that fixed in the bed of my truck and then use it under my awning beside the truck, so rather than trying to jam my arm into the bed rack to reach the regulator and adjust it, I can just do it from my chair by the fire pit. I've had a few people say they want to see it in use, so here's another video of the deluxe (basically the same fire pit, but that one has 2 propane inputs so you can use it as a grill) in use if it helps: th-cam.com/video/BF_Qy9uCQMw/w-d-xo.html
I like these - I keep wanting to get one. Nice overview. Incase anyone else was wondering, it weighs 10.1 lbs
Thanks dude.
It was really helpful as I’ve been looking at these to purchase. I would have liked to see it work .

The lid is anodized aluminum and that's why that part is so light compared to the other models.
Yep, feels weird when you first pull it off, haha.
I'm wondering how it does in wind. I'm kind of close to Coast of Oregon and the Cascades get windy also.

Does it keep you warm on a cold night or is it just for ambiance? Looking for something warm.
Ir does alright. Definitely puts out enough heat if you’re close. Won’t burn your eyebrows off but is warm.

That was my thought as well. Glad it was helpful!

I lost my faith in humanity when I read the warning "Do not use inside a moving vehicle." I have so many questions. I want none of them answered.😂
Hahahaha

Would have been nice to see the flame out if it!
You're not the first one to say that. So, I made this follow up video: th-cam.com/video/BF_Qy9uCQMw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=92671OToMRog4Vbm. :D
Pull the regulator out of the fitting and it works great..
Thanks for the tip!
What is the point of the regulator on the can when there's a regulator at the tank? While your review was great, I would have like to see it in use.

@@AllThingsOverlanding Thanks for the reply. Your answer regarding two regulators makes perfect sense.
ugh long intro
Yep, they've gotten shorter since this video, haha.
