The scenes not being character specific is sort of like Legend of Zelda Tears of the King, where due to the open world style the game is tailored so that regardless what temple link goes to, since there is no set order you can go to them however you want to, the game dev can't risk the player going out of order and getting confused. So instead they just repeat the same dialog regardless of the temple. Also... AH YES, iconic Batman Rogue... STARRO the conqueror an alien star fish from space...
The sad thing about Tears is how the localisation (not by the localisers' fault, but by the dynamic between JP and EN as languages) kinda makes them seem like 4 of the same scene. The JP dialogue for the ancestral sages is actually slightly varied, and the Gerudo sage specifically informs and contextualises Ganondorf's motivation. The word she uses to describe his ambition is 「妄執」 (lit. _mōshū_ ; deep-rooted delusion; firm conviction (based on incorrect beliefs)) which is a buddhist concept of such powerful materialism that it blinds one to enlightenment. A whole bunch of other stuff is also lost in translation, so I don't think Tears is even a good comparator. GK is just ass about its game design lol.
@@sageoverheaven I did not realize it was that extremes. From what I saw of the story mode it felt like and after thought to the game's mechanics. Now it sounds like it is mediocre translation since they could have figured out how to have it translated to better accommodate the plot for its English speaking audience.
@@ToonGrin There are parts of the localisation that are absolute ass, such as the localisers' weird choice to rob Link of his character. In JP Tears and JP Breath of the Wild too, the mission logs/ quest logs are actually written in first person from Link's perspective. They include his perspective and his personal thoughts on many events of the game. This particular instance though, is moreso the result of there being no real word that encapsulates the meaning of _mōshū._
It sucks that the unlockable traversal is so bad, tims is the best but tedious, nightwing is ok, batgirl is just a worse and slower Batman cape and Jason’s is so bad it’s honestly better to just use the batcycle for him, and the grapple isn’t that good too
Honestly I enjoyed playing as red hood and then stealth robin 2nd playthrough but then I got to batgirl and I found her disappointing like why does she have a baton?
I really cannot wait for the day when developers (Sony, disney, warner) just finally acknowledge that people like characters. Not everything is an ip that prints money. Batman sells batman, spiderman sells spiderman. Nobody gives a shit about new York city or what Gotham was like when Bruce Wayne was 6 years old. Just stopp
*The random infinite crimes in the city is enough for me to get this game.*
MAN!
Remember when THIS was the worst Batman game?!😳
Good times!🥲
We desperately need a sequel. This story has a great opening but it really needs more in-depth exploration. I could easily see this being a trilogy.

Nothing will beat how good the first gameplay video was. That shit was epic. Sucks that the game was NOTHING like it lol
Arkham challenge maps was all we had before this game came out to play as them😅
And?
@@Battinson and it feels like that's all we have still
