  • Wix Studio: wix.com/studio
    -- In the modern no to low code space, we have two competitors: Framer and Webflow. But now, we have a 3rd competitior who's entered the space in a major, major way -- And that is Wix Studio.
    I've been asked to take a look at Wix Studio in this sponsored video, to see just how it stacks up as a modern solution that can handle practically every need from a freelance designer developer, to a full web agency.
    Now, I know what some of you might be thinking: Why do we need a third option when we already have Framer and Webflow? Well, my little friend, do you complain about all of the choices you have to choose from when you visit the grocery store? Of course not, competition benefits us users in a tremendous way. ;-)
    Wix Studio didn't decide to release a half finished product, this platform is truly robust in a variety of ways. First, let's take a look at the editor..
    In a nutshell, Wix Studio features a fully customizable editor with AI assisted layout tools, Velo & API's so that you can extend your websites with advanced functionality, an app market place where you can buy and sell custom components, SEO & Marketing tools, and finally it also handles client management for all of your projects.
    The Wix Studio editor allows you to build websites with modern interactions that we all expect now. You're able to integrate hover, click, scroll, loop and entrance interactions (and you know me, I love my scroll animations). You can create just one design, and utilize their proportional scaling feature. There's even a responsive AI feature that will optimize your existing layout to work for smaller screens. Speaking of AI, there's even the ability to enter simple text descriptions, and it will turn them into images right within the Editor.
    Wix Studio isn't also just frontend, it's also backend that allows you to create truly full stack applications.
    Client communication is also completely handled within Wix Studio. Streamline client communication throughout the development process of a project, manage your internal team with roles and site asignments, and soo, so much more.
    Personally, I'm extremely excited to also share that I will be featuring another video in less than 2 weeks, where we embark on a Wix Studio crash course while building out a layout from scratch.
    Alright everyone, look out for that new video soon, so be sure to subscribe and tick that bell notification icon. Cya later!

    The one thing Wix Studio could have over Webflow and Framer is actual, useable e-commerce functionality. It is absolutely mind blowing that eCom is not a major, fleshed out, intuitive feature for Webflow or Framer yet. So Wix Studio could definitely be a design-forward option for medium/small businesses.

    I'll give them props. I wouldn't touch Wix years ago but this is definitely a huge step forward in their design AND development efforts to compete with Framer, Webflow, etc even though I believe Wix has a larger market share than those two. When I inspected the code it's still a bit DIV heavy but not a deal breaker in that regard.

    I'm enjoying it. Still can be a bit buggy as expected in such an early phase. There's a lot you can do with this especially with access to the backend and such. Hopefully it integrates seamlessly with their app market which wasn't the case with Editor X. Still the platform has a bit of a ways to becoming stable from my
    experience

    As a Design Course student my concern is not about how easy it will be to use this software but, as a digital marketing graduate I want to know more about the back end of things.
    SEO is the most important thing when promoting a website. Are we able to use the software in dev mode?

    Wix has been impressing users lately with its AI integration and optimization. Their AI-powered website design assistance makes creating professional sites a breeze. Plus, their SEO guidance and content suggestions keep improving. It's a smart choice for anyone looking to simplify website creation and boost online presence.

    DUDE... my head is dizzy. I learned Elementor/Wordpress because of some limitations i was looking at Webflow (which i did not like so much, not so intuitive and think you need code to get those great sites), now i am learning Framer (you can create nice amazing sites but i dont know if you can creat complex business sites...), while learning framer now wix studio plops out of nowhere....
    Which Tool should we now focus to build amazing sites with nice interactions and animations WITHOUT touching code?? It always seems that you need to know css and js to create the amazing sites...

      I can see myself in your shoes. I've learned Elementor and WordPress and been building websites for quite sometime on it. But then got started on framer and also considering webflow. But I'm finally settling for WixStudio as it offers all those functionalities and complexities without needing to code. I also got accepted into wix studio recently so just sticking to it

    I've been working on a project for the last week and its ability to make your designs fully responsive is horrible. Be prepared to spend hours fightng with the setting, just for them to not even come close to what you wont them to do. Imo, you're better off learning html and css, it will save you a lot of time.

      What Wordpress is doing is so backwards with that FSE block editing system. It's not intuitive at all! I do like Bricks builder and even Breakdance but Wordpress out of the box is shooting themselves in the foot.

    • @doesitstill
      @doesitstill 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @whizzbang7520 yes, i am a FT backend dev in an agency and have developed sites using the FSE and custom blocks. ACF and Classic Editor are the preferred option every time

    • @wchorski
      @wchorski 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@teewhite7061 It depends on the use case. If you're a full blown coding dev, the FSE Block system is a bit much when it comes to menu diving and UI configuration when passing onto the client.
      If you're a low / no code dev then it does offer more customization then older themes. (Essentially, WP assumes you at least know CSS)
      If you're a business that is launching a DIY site, the FSE Blocks are def reaching outside of normal user's scope
      The good news is that FSE Block Themes are an opt in feature, you can still find themes that have traditional Header, Nav, widget configurations.

      Huh? You do understand that no/low code tools like Wix Studio, Framer and Webflow are exploding in popularity? Wix Studio is very close to Framer and Webflow in terms of functionality, btw.
      No/low coders are excellent for simple stuff like landing pages. It allows designers to fully implement their ideas and not just have to stick with design.
      Not everything has to be done by hand coding.

      Logical fallacy. Just because you didn't like what they've done in the past, doesn't automatically mean what they produce in the future won't be good. I'm familiar with both Framer and Webflow, and I wouldn't take on a sponsorship with a product that sucks.
