Honestly, for me, this is the best I have EVER heard Gwen. The words are so clear as if it is just flowing from her mouth. I hope to actually get to see her sing this song. Instead of the bending forward or backward to hit the notes, I bet she just stands with her heavenly voice pouring from her mouth. IMHO, this is the tone Gwen needs to be at. I can hear her voice and understand her words so much better than the other where I feel like she is having to strain and force her voice to hit the notes. For me, I never knew she could sing THIS good. I can finally hear how pure and heavenly her voice really is LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She sang just a little on Kelly’s talk show with John Legend, Blake & Kelly NEON MOON… I knew after hearing her then, she had it in her! I Think she’s been somewhat intimidated. She’s been a LA ska girl forever & I am so proud of her ….. truly!!! Also, Kingston is breaking out of his shell also…he has a good voice. Way to go Blake Shelton !! So when she starts singing her part of " NEON MOON" in Kelly Clarkson's show, I felt like someone hit my belly. That sound, that tone in her voice was what I year back wished I could hear more from her !! I still go back and play over and over again Gwen's singing part in "Neon moon" - It was magic as she sounds exactly as my fantasy meant to be perfect for her voice-tone. I hope she could do some emotion country music covers songs, not only do her own things. Loving this song too!! It feels so honest and crispy and with Blake's lovely voice support her.

Gwen singing this is so full circle for me. The first female vocalists that I learned to sing with were Naomi and Wynonna. I was in elementary school and played the Why Not Me album on my record player over and over, signing right along. When I got older, the only female vocalist that I loved to sing with was Gwen. So this song being covered really touched me and made me shed a rare tear. Thanks Gwen and Blake for keeping this song so true and meaning what you sing. I was a ska girl who met my love after a brutal divorce (actually the same time as Gwen and Blake's story). I'm marrying him in a few months!
