It makes me happy when companies are cruelty-free. a lot of other brands should take notes.
I think we all like that! I think the issues sadly is that so many of the cruelty free all natural ones, tend to not last very long nor be very strong
@@FrazzledVirgoI'm a sandalwood guy it's great but man it does not last long at max 3 hours at most
and all natural. We don't realize how much chemicals on our skin get into our blood. Skin is an organ!!
i find watching you guys talk about perfumes hypnotic in some weird way.....even though i know that i would never go and purchase most if not any of the fragrances you so faithfully present...it is as though i just get a kick watching the reviews and then i vicariously experienced some olfactory sensation and move on.. :)

I got a Maison Louis Marie discovery set knowing nothing about the brand, and no. 4 was my absolute favorite 🤩
Everything you have to say is sooooo relevant. I'm glad I stumbled onto this video while researching a dupe for this perfume. I don't normally like perfumes because I feel like I'm just spraying alcohol on my skin. But I related so much when you said, "if it's not love at first whiff I don't want it." That's how I fell in love with this perfume. I don't even remember how I got the sample bottle but I'm willing to invest because I enjoy it that much. I smell it on my skin hours later, it's so nice!

Well I guess it makes sense why I absolutely love this brand.. ALL of the similarly compared perfumes are some of my favorites and have been wearing them for years! That’s why I’m looking to buy essential oils of no. 04 key notes (and other perfumes I love) and see if it’s possible to get the right balance to diffuse it!

I haven’t tried the oil, but I did like Bois de Balincourt edp when I’ve tried it. Like you said, not wildly unique, but there’s just something about it I find quite lovely. Maybe someday I’ll pick up a 50 ml. Great video! Keep up the good work.

I've been using Bois de Balincourt maybe 3-5 times a week for three and a half months and I'm only about 1/6th of the way through my bottle! I think that they're actually rather good value for money on a per-wear basis.

@@MyWorldofFragrance That's a good point, I guess if you're getting Number 4 as a Santal 33 alternative it's far more affordable, but more expensive than other brands.

Haha, thank you! I will start listing the details. The lip color is a moisturizing lip tint from Alima Pure in Peony - they’re natural and great.

I love oils, they give me a lusher, richer, more intimate experience, and also have been getting into layering lately. I wonder which online retailers in Europe carry this brand, need to do some research, perhaps there are samples? Not a huge fan of Santal 33, but the others seem lovely. Awesome review!

Nice review , Sam. Just ordered 5 samples, after trying out No. 04, which is nice. I'm hoping that the ones I selected are indeed uni, as I'm a man (who doesn't shy away from frags that are sweeter or have some floral elements. ) Don't really need to smell like animale all the time !

So strange...I sampled Santal 33 after all the hype and being a NY'er, it gave me pickles and as a NY'er, no thanks. I stumbled upon this brand at Sephora looking at the clean scents section and I fell in love with #4. On my skin, unlike Santal, it didn't leave that smell of pickles. I feel #4 certainly compliments my skin chemistry.
Did it smell like "pickles" at all during the application process all the way to the drydown?
I bought this in the Spay and oil.. I know it wasn’t necessary but I love it that much!

Also, i am dying to get my hands on maison louis marie, l'etang noir... it is not available for shipping to the philippines but it happens that one day this woman whom i met at a company event, i complimented her fragrance and showed me her very small roll-on bottle of l'etang noir... it really left an impression on me...

I own the 09 perfume oil. Love mine. Try the 04 with the 09 and the projection is amazing with the spray. That’s what I did.

I have a sample set and I like 04. I am considering buying a bottle but I am not sure if the oil smells exactly the same with the edp. Do you have any recommendations?
Hi Angela, I have not tried the EDP unfortunately... but I've heard from people who have both that they prefer the oil. And the oil still projects, so no worries about that. 🌹Xo Sam
