- A video of my fishing trip to Anstruther in Fife, it took quite a time before i started catching fish. Wrasse were the main catch with coalfish and an lsss. I managed to catch a new pb wrasse which made my day. It made a change from my normal flattie fishing.
Grate video! Think it's worth while chucking some small lures in the harbour?
Love watching your videos. Fairly new to sea fishing, so hopefully will bump into you sometime and be very grateful for any tips you can share. Keep making the videos, gives me great inspiration.

I hope you got yourself a few fish while you were there. I'm dying to go back there again i enjoyed that trip. There's a good chance we'll bump into each other it's amazing how many guys i run into that have seen the video's always good to talk to those who watch them.

Thanks for that Robert. I like the wrasse the don't half fight for their size. I've never fished of the platform in fact i forgot about that i should have done the look around from up there.
that big one led you a merry dance mike, cracking fish .
not sure i am going to make it this summer fisho, but i will definitely be down next year .
It did that Rab and that was on the beachcaster....on lighter gear it would be something else.

I use a pair of abu suveran sx's for most of my fishing 12' 9" along with a pair of abu 6500 ct rockets or on rough ground penn 535's
a really good video again, it's a shame wrasse can't be eaten, my book says they are OK for fish stock. a day without flounders , bet you missed em ha ha
Well i've looked through my Indian,Chinese,American ,British and a big fish cook book nope there are no recipes for wrasse that i have found. Yeh i'll need time to recover from lack of flounder lol. Got a comp at the weekend so will get plenty flatties then ....i hope.
hope your comps not on the Tay then as there seems to be loads of crabs ready to strip your hooks as soon as they hit the water.that was my experience on Monday at wormit. got two flounders in the short time I was there, o for a few sea trout
Comp was on the Tay riverside i managed to come near last but that was due to using wrong type of bait, i should have had peeler, there's always next time.

I think the main catch at night would be cod especially during the winter.
@@michaelbird3226 apparently the only way to catch cod at anstruther is during a swell.

Aye it's not often i get a slap from a fish ....i think they call it karma lol.
i was just there last week
It's a great place to fish but can be a place to loose a lot of gear too. It's good during the winter for the cod fishing.

Elie beach is one place i haven't tied yet, the years spent in Fife you would have thought that i would have but nope may try this year if i have time.
