I would just explain your situation to them and say that you connected with them and think Vanderbilt would really value another recommendation coming from them!

Hey! Since a lot more people are being placed on the waitlist this year (due to Covid) I definitely recommend sending an initial letter now! And then continue to send them information throughout the months on any updated information you can give. By doing so, you remind the admission officer who you are and potentially convince them to admit you :) I hope this helps
Most schools either call you to let you know or send you an email. Just make sure you answer unknown numbers and regularly check your email lol, good luck!!

I’ve heard stories of schools discovering students doing that and it costing them their acceptance. These schools are allowed to communicate with each other & they sometimes do. I didn’t want to risk it, and it paid off to go all in with just Vandy!

Can’t you just say you will 100% attend the school if taken off the waitlist at every school you’ve been waitlisted at?
