- English Dogs are a British hardcore punk band that began life in the early eighties. Two versions of the band exist, the Punk/Metal Crossover band featuring original drummer Andrew 'Pinch' Pinching and Graham 'Gizz' Butt, and Adie Bailey and a punk-based one featuring original vocalist Pete 'Wakey' Wakefield. This album features the band in a 3 piece line up of Gizz Butt - Lead Vocals and guitars, Pinch - Drums and backing vocals, and Shop - Bass guitar and Backing vocals . They released the 17 track crossover album "All The World's A Rage" on Impact records and Pavement music. In 1996 the English Dogs played their last shows as Pinch, Gizz and Shop were soon to re-emerge as Janus Stark.

Been looking for this album forever. The best. Listened on repeat when I was an angsty teen/young adult. So good even though now I'm old.

Pinch went onto drum for The Damned!
Ryan Christy-Guitar and Craig Christy- Bass should be mentioned in the punk metal line-up description and they both played on the "Thing With Two Heads" and on both the 2012 FIB tour and the 2016 tour that also had Spike T. Smith sitting in for Pinch on drums on the 2016 tour only.
Previous punk/metal lineup was Jon Murray-guitar and Wattie-Bass. Cheers!

I can't believe I never got into this band or got introduced by my punk friends. I'm not I to the scene anymore but still really enjoy punk music. Thos sounds different than their 80s stuff. This sounds like rancid or nofx. Vandals or schreeching weasel. Still cool.though. The original English dogs sounded like exploited or one way statem.
