- Supreme Court Advocate Mehmood Pracha has called for Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud to resign. This, following the controversy where PM Modi visited CJI's residence for Ganpati pooja. Adv Pracha says MPs must come together to start the process of impeaching the CJI and even criticised Kapil Sibal - President of Supreme Court Bar Association - for not passing a resolution condemning the PM's visit.

A very inappropriate and totally avoidable act by the CJI , who gave some of us the fond hope that there will at last be some check in the goings on in the Governance, which seemed to be not happening in spite of the June 24 outcome of the elections.

If CJI invited the PM for the event, then it needs to be taken note of, otherwise it need not be taken so seriously. The CJI is an intelligent person and will not stoop low to welcome the criticism of his country men.
There another sightly twisted way to look at the whole event . Knowing how vengeful and vindictive modi is, he could have manipulated the who thing ( CAMERA !!)….. to denigrate and humiliate the CJI and black mark his career for posterity. And the CJI was both gullible and foolish to allow the snake to enter the house.
