  • Supreme Court Advocate Mehmood Pracha has called for Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud to resign. This, following the controversy where PM Modi visited CJI's residence for Ganpati pooja. Adv Pracha says MPs must come together to start the process of impeaching the CJI and even criticised Kapil Sibal - President of Supreme Court Bar Association - for not passing a resolution condemning the PM's visit.

The only problem if the current CJI resigns is who would be the replacement and how partisan or pro government would he be?
Atleast this CJI is somewhat balancing pro government judgements with a few towards the general people.
