Volkswagen TDI hot start Problem Quick Solution

MK4s TDIs have a common problem where once the car is warm it takes a little bit longer to start this is a temporary fix using VCDS however you might or might not get the check engine light due changing from Manual Transmission to Automatic and since theres not TCU you'll be getting trouble code P1626

Hi, does solve the hot starting problem on a AGR?
My takes to long to reach minimum 250rpm to start when hot, only makes 230rpm
Or must my tuner make new file to 200rpm hot start?
I have a AGR tdi in a golf mk1 rally car

Hi this is an AGR 90cv TDI and it did solved the problem but since you have swapped the engine into a MK1 I don’t know if that would work because mine is a Golf MK4

Im not really sure I tried on a Golf 5 and it worked I bet it works on a Touran as well since they share the same drivetrain

Not a good fix. There is an error in these older fuel maps where no fuel is injected if the starter speed is below 250 RPM. ECU needs to be reprogrammed with an updated fuel map.
