- This is a tutorial about the elevator. Although it has been a very old obstacle, it is not very frequently used in many marble races. However, it is a very cool obstacle, so I decided to make a tutorial on it!

An extra tip that may help others avoid the problem I encountered: The elevator won't work unless you created both tall rectangle pole things. After the first rectangle, I tested the elevator, and it didn't work. I spent around 30 minutes trying to figure out what the heck was wrong until I realized I just needed to create the next rectangle.
Can you make a tutorial about when the marbles touch the finish line, there their name will come?

Go to "Script Menu" then "MaterialName" and then change the name of what you want it to be called

@@spaceguy20_12 Just make sure it is either a circle or square and then right click go to text and type what you want
Guys! If you click no self collision and it still collides, select all the small axles and go to script menu, then put allow direct solve false, it works!

It just kicks away the marbles
so i used the circles to spin a chain*
*chain=rectangles linked by TURNABLE joints
And I added rectangles to carry the marbles

Oh boy i am first ! Today i was making a marble race , but i wanted to make an elevator .

ended up making a statue
I have used the floater numerous times on my marble races. However, sometimes the marbles unexplainably don't even float when the touch the floater block. It like sometimes I open Algadoo and the floaters don't work at all, and sometimes they do. It's either all or nothing. At first i thought it was because I was writing "dens" instead of "density", but now even that doesn't work. Do you have any ideas as to what the matter is?

WARNING! If your elevator doesn’t work because it just gets stuck at 2:14 then you’ve done something wrong. Pay attention to how he puts the tall rectangles at 1:21.

The elevator i made spins, then tilts slightly, making the things come down/kick out, and tilts back up again, Is there a fix to this?

What happens if you make the torque too high?
Why did it didn't work? i placed the first tall rectangle and they spin but after i place the second tall rectangle they didn't spin. It did not too with "No self collision"
How do you attach the rungs to the elevator? They keep falling!
You need to fixate them to the elevator. Hope this helps! (If you glue them to the background it will not work)

Hello, how does the elevator move? It doesn't work for me. I do what the tutorial says, but it doesn't move.
i don't understand how you got 0.5. I hae the same version but i always got 2 and it was the exact same size as yours. Pls help i had the same problem with the outer structure of snake.

My elevator is glitching... The marbles seem to bounce while the elevator is going up.
Overall, it's a pretty good elevator.

I'm sad. I coudn't get pump to work, i couldn't get snake to work, and now i can't get elevator to work. I don't think i will get alternator and organizer to work either :(
i mean it worked until i got to the things that pick the marbles up. I got it at on point but the marbles got stuck. Though i think i should have just made the marbles smaller so i guess i made it? idk

what broke?
You may have made the rungs to long, or have made them to far apart. Try changing one of them. If one does not work, try the other.
