That brilliant under water footage not only adds hugely to the content quality but also provides a learning aid to us all. What struck me was that maybe a little less food down there would result in more takes? I understand it is a difficult balancing act between attracting lots of fish but not putting too much in and reducing the likelyhood of your hook bait being picked up. In coarse fishing the way around this was fishing paste and slop, the ground bait basically created a flavoured cloud but had no food content, the fish searched desperately for something to eat and the only bit of food was on the hook! Bites where instant! This method might lend itself to Mullet fishing. Try mixing your groundbait like mashed potato so it clouds with no chunks.
Thank you very much for that comment mate, that’s a great idea, all I know is I got them stimulated because out of 30 minutes of footage that was three minutes plus of activity just after more bread mix went in, I tried the cloud method last time, unintentionally really Wingman mixed up a sloppy mix, and most of it got pushed away but we still caught with less down there 👇 I’ll mix it up a bit 😎🤣💚👍
These under water cameras are amazing. You try to imagine what the bottom conditions are like but when you can actually see it real time it makes you rethink, because it is nothing like you imagined down there! I was hoping that the second rod that Peter reeled in would pick up a fish! that would have been a giggle. Nice fish Paul. what a sport Peter was.
Very entertaining stuff, the underwater footage is definitely a game changer. It puts things in a brilliant different perspective. Cracking fish too 👍💪🐟🎣
Great video as always Bassman! Loving the regular videos and underwater footage! Please keep up the good work it gives me something to do when I’m not fishing!
Upped your game there mate. Watching the way the feed was amazing. Reinforces my belief that smaller baits hook more fish as they are just pecking at baits then returning, instead of staying in situ nibbling at it. They are always moving. Cracking fish
Great underwater footage, fascinating to see and also really useful to see what the hell they feed like down there. Bit of an air shot that first strike with the drag loose, one of my specialties!
That underwater footage is great. It looks like they arent great at picking up the bait from the bottom, so you would think pop ups would improve the hook up rate. I use a lot more oil and catfood in my groundbait. No idea if its better but you can see where the sent trail is going.
Nice one Paul. I got a passer by to do my netting a few year ago when I was squid fishing in Sutton (it's on my channel). Have a look at doing 'shorts' on YT and other platforms.. it's limited to only a minute but if you make short action type clips and put a link to your main channel it might help boost the viewers. Hopefully the weather is on the turn and I might see you about Plymouth area when I get my lure gear out.
Great video mate. I’m just getting into mullet fishing now, especially when I can’t get on the rocks and chase wrasse. Maybe a silly question, but why don’t you float fish here?
Cheers mate I do much better on the bottom tbh! The float is often a pain when there’s tide and I know there’s more fish on the bottom hoovering up bread 😎👍
You have to reflex every time you feel something mullet will sit there when they hook them selves and wiggle until their free I surface fish for them have seen them hook up realize and sit still easy good fishing man
Cheers mate great info,I’ve been mullet fishing 30 years on and off mate it’s my favourite fishing 😁, I know what I’m doing, I know there are easier ways to snag a mullet with various different rigs lots of hooks etc but I’m fishing for specimen Mullet not numbers, a two hook paternoster I would use 20 years ago but never now, to many problems fish getting wrapped up etc, one hook Pat is the ultimate self hooking slammer rig for me with bread pinched on the weight length for ground bait 👍😊🎄
BLACKROCK barbell or all rounder 1.25lb 12foot same blanks! My go to Mullet rod light powerful and two piece not three, easy to unship in between spots 😎👍
Another sweet video, another sweet fish. Keep 'em coming, get on the Bassman ! 👍😁
Cheers bro appreciate it 😎👍💚
Hadir mantap spot nya luar biasa bos ku seaht selalu 👍👍❤️❤️❤️ bos ku 👍
Nice one mate good fish and good guy to get your rod out. Nice underwater clips makes me wanna go fishing. Top dangling Bassman keep it up🎣👍
