- New country, but Harry is making the same old mistakes. DR650s and being bogged to the axle. Name a more iconic duo.
In this episode, our overland trip has brought us to Thailand and we have a lot of riding to do to get to Bangkok. Harry sets about finding interesting ways to traverse the trunk of the Land of the Free, and we also find ourselves enjoying some of the beach life that makes Thailand so popular.
This one took a while to edit as it covers about 12 days of the trip. Sorry that we made you guiys wait but hope that you enjoy it!

Nearly 22 years, minus a month or so, since I've been in Thailand. Such a great country, wonderful people, and amazing scenery. I backed packed through there, but so I wish I was doing it your way.

Yeah it's a bit swings and roundabouts... But motorcycle Overlanding I think wins out. Backpacking you definitely do meet more people though, and can zig and zag and get to further places. And it's cheaper. More comfortable (despite regularly being uncomfortable).
Thai railways were originally built with 1435mm guage, but converted to narrow guage (1000mm)(1067mm in Oz). The state run railway is almost entirely passenger and has never made money. Even though rail freight is cheaper, roads are used. STR has doubled track in some areas and intends to increase freight traffic.
Sometimes you have to be banned in some areas where they have warning signs, like in the event that he is pouring cement, you go in.😉😊
Blisters like these can be applied with toothpaste or aloe vera plants can be applied to relieve swelling.🤗
I think that this adventure you two are on is probably the best TH-cam moto adventure I've seen. And I think that the adventure is just beginning. It's super fun to watch. Thanks for all the effort you put into the videos. Praying for you two. I don't know what your plans are, but you might want to go through Africa and avoid Ukraine on your way to the UK.

@@drabbit61 zackly! Right? You go the interesting ways, and meet them locals, and make em like you. Then we both enjoy the experience and remember it better than when we went the way the GPS recommended to that restaurant you found on Google maps. Y'know?
A german friend of mine would always ask " are you totally deranged?" basically saying "you're on your own mate" whenever I came up with some mad cap plan, we're definitely in totally deranged territory here, trackless alleged google routes through snake infested semi swamp.....I'm surprised Liss isn't saying " you are on your own mate" quite regularly , or maybe it's just the edit we get .
