Certainly looks to be an improvement over the economy class on the A380, which I have tried. I am aware the product will be onboard 8 777-300ERs, one flying from Singapore to London but I wonder where the others will fly. I like the new Panasonic inflight entertainment system and the seat also looks comfortable. I have videos of the Singapore Airlines A380 cabin and seating for both economy class and business class on my channel.
Touchscreen and remote wise, pretty much the same as the seats I flew on the EK A380 from SFO-DXB and v.v. in Dec/Jan. I really would like to try SQ's new Y class seats out eventually. I wish they sent their newest 77Ws to SFO in the Summer (May be going in June)
Singapore Air line, We need to travel to Greek Islands next year from Australia the last 22 years i travel to Europe with you always !! We like to travel to destination A - before we go to any other country B air line we Like the A plane the long run with Singapore Air Line . thank you manager of P.Relations.
The EU lifted the ban in 2009, and European routes will be opening up soon. They have made a lot of progress since the 90's when Garuda were quite terrible. I wish them well. That said Singapore Airlines, for me, will always be the best, then, now and in the future.
Obviously they are trying to follow what Garuda Indonesia has put on their Economy class. SQ cant take in the fact that Garuda won the best economy class :P
So what if Garuda won best economy class, can't YOU take the fact that SIA is trying to improve their Economy Class for the better? You don't have to win to be the best :)
Looks good but reality is so different. SIA used to be my favourite airline until my last flight with them. I flew Syd-LHR via Singapore. It was supposed to have been an A380 and I was really looking forward to it. Due to economic reasons they changed it to a 777 and that has to rank as one of the worse flights I've flown. It was so cramped with thin seat padding. I'm only 5'7" (about 1.66m) so I'd hate to think what it would be like for any one taller, hell if Satan had designed their cattle class.
All those awards are marketing gimmicks. Skytrax's "World Airline Awards" is seen as a joke my aviation enthusiasts- they award airlines that advertise with them. Garuda has improved a lot but it is nowhere near Singapore Airlines. Just look at Garuda's new In-Flight Entertainment vs SIA's older one i.e. on the A380.. SIA is miles ahead. Also no airline, not Garuda can match the consistency of SIA's crew. SIA is a smaller but high-end, almost boutique-like product.
I love the in seat reading light. Great design! No more blinding lights from the neighbouring passengers.

What aircraft will the new economy class be available? and When, if you know?
that legroom though
...hope SIA return to Greece one day, best airline by far...
How much is the Seat pitch? 34 inch?
i believe the word "was" is more appropriate :D
The new handset looks like a PSP/PSVITA

are they on boeing 777 or a380 or what??

looks exactly the same 2 years ago.... tight space as usual
comparing SQ to Garuda is like comparing The Four Seasons to the Hilton
Man... I love SQ. But I don't have the money to fly with them. Only did that once :(
Hope they can add it on the 5 A380s on order
love it but i hate the seat colour.
Music ?
New 777-300ER deliveries and the A350 according to the press release and on their Facebook page
As you can see, Singapore airlines always upgrade after a few years. this is common, not because they are following garuda Indonesia

I agree on IFE, SIA is better but on cabin crew friendliness and service...GA is miles ahead and the reason why they won 5 years in row
love SIA. would only fly SIA when possible. But seriously, this is outdated. time to realize you're not leading the industry, but playing catch up!
they are not trying to follow them -.-
