  • Josephus, the first-century historian, offers an understanding of Jewish thought, background, and history up to and around the time of Christ. In Josephus' Discourse Concerning Hades, the historian dispels the myths of the Greek nation with regards to the after life.
Hopefully this will allow those who cannot see well to gain understanding of the gospel... Blessings to all.

I have to catch up because these new posts are so interesting but I'm just finishing Book 12 of the Antiquities, I've listened to that one several times. I'm excited to have these all to work through! Thank you!

I really do hope you enjoy it, it is most definitely worth going through them in order, they are very detailed and the story gets really crazy once you get to the details in the Wars books.

Very well produced, as always. However, this work is now known to be a spurious adaptation of "Against Plato, on the Cause of the Universe" by Hippolytus of Rome, and as such, wasn't written by Josephus. Perhaps this should've been noted in the background information for the recording.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! My favorite channel, by FAR ! U R doing GREAT KID ! 💚 So, [is this correct?] The Garden 'Eden' = Paradise 😇 I'm making all these mp3's to leave to the 'left-behind' folks....

Thank you kindly for the encouragement and blessings, they are much appreciated. The garden of Eden was a part of the heavenly realm come down to earth in the beginning, and it is a paradise in its own respect. However the Bosom of Abraham can also be considered a paradise, but according to the records it is located in the center of the earth.

@@sonsofjacobministries >> Yes INDEED! I knew it! There is a whole nother plane underneath us, with the beautiful bluish canopy over God's world. His mighty throne sits HIGH above the center, and truly the whole earth, is his 'footstool'. Polaris, the N.Star, could it be a portal to his throne? I remember the futility of the tower of Babel and their vain thinking they could storm Heaven. Give me a break you idiot-Nimrod. 💛

““There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ ””

Jesus will be a righteous judge. Your hell would be of your own making - your own choosing. However, your heaven is just one choice away...

Ever considered Louis Ginzberg's Legends of the Jews? Religious poetry of John Milton and William Blake? Wallis Budge's Egyptian Book of the Dead? Gnostic Scriptures? Just saying.

I looked into this, its more so based in the Talmud Mishnah and Midrash, this page is more intended to be based on the Bible, I do thank you however for the suggestion.

You focus on polemical works of historical, prophetical and eschatological character in the Hebrew tradition. There is also the OAHSPE Bible, in the same tradition and style. Thank you for your consideration.
