Helldivers 2 - Foreshadowing on Meridia?

A new dispatch just dropped in Helldivers 2 addressing a situation which happened on the planet Meridia..
The dispatch goes as such:
Super Earth High Command would like to inform all Helldivers that investigations into reported anomalies surrounding the singularity created by the destruction of the Supercolony have concluded.
It has been determined definitively that the singularity is an ordinary black hole. Further observations of perceived anomalies should be disregarded, as the science is conclusive.
However, according to other sources, an unknown effect was added for Meridia just yesterday.

Interesting. Considering that in the SteamDB depots multiple depots called "gameplay_illuminates" were added, this is one of the many subtle hints to possible illuminates. I hope they come soon
