Oh I knit crochet and tat I’m 72 years old. I’ve done doilies doll clothes, socks, two at a time on a cable Shoals and a sweater or two. It’s a lot of fun.

That little glasses case is so darling 🥰🌼 I think I need one in my life. All of my glasses cases are so fricken ugly and bulky 😂
LOVE the watermelon coaster! Such a cute pairing. Screams summertime 😎⛱
I gotta say, I’m with you on the ‘bullseye head’ dilemma 😬
“She had no chance” 😂 Oh dear. Poor thing.
I can see why you are torn. The outfits and accessories are so adorable. With your talent, I know you could do some adjusting and whip up a ‘non-bullseye’ noggin in a flash 😉
Benjamin Broccoli has stolen my heart 💚
Oh for Pete’s sake!! The mini granny square bag 🥹💕!
‘Cacticorn’ is giving me visions of a cactus corncob. I clearly need to see a therapist asap.
LOVE the mug so much ✨👏 Bring on the mugs!!
I have an ironing allergy too. Best allergy ever. ☺
The little notions pouch 🥹💕!! Ahh the cuteness!!
Fab visit as always, gorgeous one 😘❤ You’ve left me wanting to trawl through Amazon for crochet books. Dangerous. Very dangerous 😂💕 xx

Hello dear Lee! Where are you, lady, I miss seeing you 🤗
That poor bearded bullseye bee, she has such potential to be adorable. I'll be making one of those cute dolls with a reworked head soon.

But the dolls are really cute and I think the bearded bee you made turned out perfectly. I enjoy your videos and seeing all the different crafts you try. You are really a creative soul! I agree with you, Cassandra, that "third eye" is actually distracting. It reminds me of "Sparky Sparky Boom Man" from the Avatar cartoon. It's almost a design feature. It's a look, but just like in fashion, not everyone likes the same styles, the same styles don't work for everyone. No shame and no shade there!
Caticorn... Cat + unicorn = caticorn? Plus a mer-tail... So 3 beasts rolled into one?
Your mug turned out so beautifully!

That book and cute little bee ami: SAME. I have looked at those a lot and I think theyre so cute but I cant get past the magic circle in the middle of the forehead 😅😅my eyes just find it every time lol. I get what you are saying, to redesign without that would basically be to redo the entire pattern because they all have hair caps or hats and stuff that go with the headshape she uses. Kudos for giving it a try even though you weren't sure about it though!! LOL @ hubbies observation, they do look like little tufts of beard now that he said that hahaha.

Hi Cassandra, I couldn't unsee that bulls eye in the middle of the head, I don't think I could get past it. The doll you made is adorable but my eye kept being drawn to that bulls eye. I like the pot holder you made, it is a great idea with the cork trivet in there and the ability to remove the cover for washing. I just made a double thickness one which of course means double the work per project. I have been buying a few books on amazon lately also and have that last book you showed. I too was disappointed with it being a self published and very basic book. I almost felt that the cover was a bit misleading. I haven't made anything from it yet. The to many crafts not enough time is a problem in my house too. I like to stamp and watercolour, paper craft, sew and knit. I have a nanual die cutting machine (a big shot) but have not upgraded to a cricket, it might be pushing my luck to try and introduce another new craft (I just got needle felting stuff in the post today). I love the Craftably ever after stuff you made, super gorgeous.

Re the head bobble, can you give any more info about how you secured it so tightly because the instructions just say to attach and work through all of the stitches. Is the edge of the head "disc" seated down in the neck? I can ignore the bull's eye but I can't ignore the floppy head issue.

    • @craftablyeverafter
      @craftablyeverafter  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hello Nova 💕 As I remember, the edge of the head does sit slightly 'into' the neck (as you work from an open neck onto a closed head). I pulled my connecting stitches very tight, and went round twice to make sure.

I also don't like the bullseye head. I would have to use a regular head as it can be attached to the body easily. I would blush the cheeks with makeup rather than attach those yarn circles for cheeks.

I'm definitely removing those cheeks from the bee. That's the least I can do for that poor thing 🐝😅 I'm going to try and rework the head.

It doesn't work for me, either, but I'm sure lots will like it. I showed Nick your insta post when we were out and we both said it looked like it was made for target practice.

Target practice 🤣🤣🤣 I was hoping I'd be able to look past the head, but nope!

Do you know by any chance the new book Lulu Crochet Dolls if it is printed in UK or US terms? I noticed a lot of dc in the patterns?

I'm not sure. But if there's a lot of dc in an amigurumi pattern, I would guess it's usually UK terms 🌸
