    I tried this patern with two colours, (with this tutorial ofc) and I have to say, I'm more then just satisfied with the result 😁😄 like, it was really hard for me, to do it with two colours, but I love it 🥰🥰 thanks for this tutorial ❤❤

      You read my mind! I was just making a version of this using three strands at once (I am releasing the tutorial on Saturday), and I was thinking how fun it would be to make this with two different colors! Happy crocheting!

    So pretty! I’d like to try this pattern on a larger pillow (18 x 18). Is there a formula for increasing the size?

    • @CrochetWithJulie
      @CrochetWithJulie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes! I would try an initial CH row with 67 chains. The next row should have 132 st in the round. I hope this helps! ☺️

    I love this patter and trying my best follow..when you say "row" do you mean the whole round or are you using them separately? I've certain parts over and over and it seems like both.. Also as a learning viewer, it helps me to see the whole piece layed out in between step/round/row etc. That way, I can compare mine to yours. Again, thank you so for the videos!

    • @CrochetWithJulie

      After the initial CH row, each row is the whole circle in the round - until you reach the flap portion. I also have a stitch tutorial for this diamond stitch that you might find helpful: Crochet: Diamond Crochet Stitch Tutorial - In the Round

    Beautiful beautiful pillow! I have never seen this stitch and I love that NO ZIPPER is needed. I think your tutorial was very well done and easy to follow. I will definitely practice this stitch as I am sure there is a learning curve for it. I am new to your channel and will definitely be subscribing because I like that you take your time in showing how to work the stitch. Thank you!

    Hi, love this pattern! I have a cushion that needs a cover but it's 25*25", what should my foundation chain size be? Is there a base number to work out how many chains you need regardless of cushion size? E.g multiples of 5+3
    Thank you for the lovely pattern!

    • @CrochetWithJulie
      @CrochetWithJulie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! I just use algebra, so the formula here is: (53*X)/14
      Where x = number of inches wide
      So for a 25x25” cushion, you should need a base chain of 95 (188 in the round). I hope this helps and happy crocheting!

    • @CrochetWithJulie
      @CrochetWithJulie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, starting with this row, all of the remaining rows will be in the round (until the very end). You should have 104 total stitches each row.

    Hi. I’m not sure what to do in the middle of the rows (ie at the corner after the 52nd stitch). Do I do a slip stitch or just continue the pattern round the corner? Many thanks.

    • @CrochetWithJulie
      @CrochetWithJulie  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! Just continue the pattern around the corner. Make sure you don’t work in the slip knot, so the next stitch should be in the other loop of your correct stitch (does this make sense? If not, I can try to explain it differently).

    I assume that enlarging the size of the cushion cover requires more yarn…could you suggest how much yarn would be required for a 16 “ square and an 18” square?

    • @CrochetWithJulie
      @CrochetWithJulie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it will. My very rough estimate is around 636 yards for the 16-inch and 715 yards for the 18-inch. I hope this helps!

    • @CrochetWithJulie
      @CrochetWithJulie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it severely uneven? If not, it might take adding the additional rows where you work under the posts to make it look slightly better. The first row Can look a little bit strange. If you are still having issues, you might want to check out my stitch tutorial for this here: Crochet: Diamond Crochet Stitch Tutorial - In the Round

  • @aidanadia.29
    @aidanadia.29 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I assume that you are using the diamond waffle stitch for this pattern. Can I ask why you only yarn over once for the second front post treble crochet stitch?
    Because the first FPTC (in one V cluster) yarns over twice, but the second FPTC only yarns over once, the cable that is formed on the left arm of the V stitch in each row does not appear identical - because they aren’t. The second FPTC is not nearly as defined and it looks like it’s missing a stitch (sort of because it is).
    I was instinctively doing two FPTCs until I realised you weren’t. As it is my first time working this stitch, I assumed the error was mine. Now having discovered what this stitch is called, and after reading written patterns and watching other tutorials, this stitch appears to call for yarning over twice. The appearance is markedly different and uniform in my opinion. Was this a stylistic decision?
    I otherwise found your method of crocheting a pillow/cushion cover by crocheting in the oval and working up both sides fantastic and more preferable to simply crocheting two squares and stitching them together at the side.

    • @CrochetWithJulie
      @CrochetWithJulie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This stitch is extremely even. It might not look it in the first row, but the consecutive rows will look strange if you yarn over twice (since you don’t complete the TR, you are working 2 loops on each side of the V). That being said, if you want to work it your way, why not? I can tell you I’ve worked this method with several projects and tutorials (currently working a purse with it), and yarning over once on the second post is not a mistake.

    • @CrochetWithJulie

      The 1st slip st is just pulling through all of the loops on your crochet hook to finish out the last of the diamond stitches. The second is placing 1 SL st at the top of the TR you just worked around. I hope this helps, the only thing I skipped was me pulling yarn out of the skein.
