But if the plane is only flying over a small corner of the map, away from a majority of the map, and you want to get to the other side where there wont be anyone? Then yeah. Open your chute when your fall speed reaches 50-60 feet per second^2, then pull it once its setteled at 10.4 feet per second ^2 for about 5 seconds. Youll cover the most horizontal distance at the fastest rate that way.
