    Suppose you are using this same method in obtaining responses from multiple experts. Suppose then we want to aggregate their inputs using AIP (Aggregate of Individual Priorities). What method will you use? Can we use Geometric mean for that as well? Kindly advise.

    Thank you for your video but I have a question. Can I directly use these fuzzy weights for alternative evaluation (using another fuzzy MADM methods) or do I have to normalize the fuzzy weights first? If it's the latter, how can I do that?
    Note: I still want the weights to be in fuzzy form in my later calculation

      you can see my previous videos like TOPSIS in which i have directly taken value of weights, these weights are generally calculated using methods like AHP, FAHP etc.

    Can you suggest any method to calculate consistency ratio for this geometric mean-fuzzy ahp method? If you can comment on Gogus and Boucher 1998 consistency ratio calculation can be applied in Buckley’s FAHP?

    How do we calculate the consistency for FAHP? Because now we have 3 values- lower, middle and upper (for triangular membership function). I went through the Buckley's original paper but it didn't mention anything about consistency. How do I prove that the numbers in pairwise comparison are not random and are consistent

    Hi Manoj, In 9.23, we need to multiply and take square root because we have multiplied 2 criteria. You didn't do that. Is there any reason for that?

      The FAHP method given by buckley doesn't give any information about consistency check. Although it is always required to check consistency, when calculating weights using AHP.

      If you have a mixture of qualitative and quantitative values of criteria, then all the qualitative values will be converted to quantitative value using a fuzzy 7 point scale or fuzzy 11 point scale.

      i think by 20 responded data you mean 20 decision makers.
      Response from 20 decision makers can be taken individually and it can be combined in to a single value using a formula, i have explained that formula in my fuzzy TOPSIS video. Please watch that video in 2.55 minutes onward..

      @@sanjay1982g You mean to say that if the performance value Xij is a numeric value then can we use fuzzy logic.
      "Basically, fuzzy logic is a precise logic of imprecision and approximate reasoning"- Prof. L.A. Zadeh 2008.
      so if we already have precise crisp value then no need to use fuzzy logic.

    Please explain how to calculate CI and CR for fuzzy AHP. To get weighted sum value in Fuzzy, is the original fuzzified matrix multiplied with the fuzzy weights (not normalized)?

      The CI and CR for fuzzy AHP can be calculated- 1st convert the fuzzy number in pairwise comparison matrix to normal ( crisp) number. Then calculate the CI and CR of pairwise comparison matrix. If the pairwise comparison matrix is consistent then the pairwise comparison matrix obtained from fuzzy numbers will also be consistent.

      After calculating weights of the criteria you can use Fuzzy TOPSIS or similar methods to calculate the final ranking of the alternative.

    Sir if I want to consider trapezoidal membership function instead of triangular membership function then what would be the crisp numeric values in terms of fuzzy numbers. For triangular membership function the fuzzy number of crisp value 3 is (2,3,4) then what would be the fuzzy number in case of trapezoidal membership function....pls sir help me...

      Im doing a study on trapezoidal membership function. I developed the trapezoidal MF based on triangular MF. But you need to draw a graph first so that you can clearly see the scales overlapping.
