The TSG and Predator (look alike) are for mountain biking. Not for e-rides that go over 20mph. I know about a handful people that have suffered a concussions after an accident (wearing the TSG or Predator) at speeds below 30mph.
Wrong....the TSG pro pass is on the TSG site as a DOWNHILL SKATEBOARDING HELMET and speeds reached by these guys usually vary from 20mph up to 80mph.And the propass is certified for downhill racing and most downhill racers use the propass so I don't know what your talking about.

none of those helmets are rated for the types of speeds you can go on powerful escooters / euc. Those helmets are good for glacing blows but if you hit gutter/ lamp post / car the eps isn't going to help much.
Get a full face Motorcycle helmet . Snell or at worst a DOT rated helmet.
Bicycle helmets are for bicycles.
down hill longboarders hit 60-80 KPH all the time plus moto helmets are twice the price and most of the time twice as heavy
@@pdj2975 The sort of motorcycle helmet you need below 100 kph is way way cheaper than all those helmets. And as long as it has a safety rating offers far superior protection. And while they might be marginally heavier that is proportional to the protection offered. I have helmets from expensive racing helmets that are way to much for pev's to a couple of cheap helmets that work just fine. I have had a bad crash @50kph that if i had been wearing one of the bicycling helmets would have been very bad.
@William Smith that's pretty much what I said , if you are doing motorcycle speeds you should be wearing the appropriate gear. Ventilation is very dependant on the helmet and speed , just as it is when riding a motorcycle, and a visor cracked open solves many issues.

@@TheNazradin Agreed. I wish more people see how stupid these overpriced helmets are compared to motorcycle helmet. Even the cheapest motorcycle helmet with dot and snell certifications offer way more protection.

Which style of helmet be better for the winter? I do ebiking and live in canada, winters can get cold, but usually cycle up to -10 celcius. With wind chill it be higher.
I'm thinking about TSG - Pass Pro just got delivered O'Neal Sierra Helmet by the measurements i should wear Medium 57 58cm , so i did buy that size and its tight how about TSG sizes should i go size bigger to Large or even XL ?
If the helmete doesn't look good I'm not wearing it, so it has to look cool.

Only the Predator allows you to drink from a water bottle without having to take off your helmet.
If you use a straw than you can drink from any helmet. Not sure how predator does that. I was unable to do so.
@Electric Vehicles Space The Predator helmet doesn't have the raised bump in the middle. I simply tug down slightly on the Predator helmet for a quick drink at stoplights. Works even better with a straw. I'm talking about a regular disposable water bottle, not the reusable insulated ones.

I bought the tsg pass, because it looks cool, can handle a decent fall, will block a flying small rock that was kicked up by a car or a flying bug that would’ve smacked an eyeball. I have motorcycle helmets, but for 25mph, no thank you, safe as they are, it’s overkill in my eyes. If you desire 30mph and up, be a bobblehead with pride and live. I like the predator too. I also use a dux vizor bike helmet for summer rides, cause the tsg is not exactly vented.

There’s a predator air (carbon fiber 800g $500) and a predator xe that has a fidlock (magnetic lock instead of double D ring $400) now. I’m interested in the fidlock one. Trying to convince myself $400 cool looking bucks.

For the TSG can you still put a smal mic inside and be able to talk into it?
This helmet will give you moderate protection up to 20 mph. On these powerful electric scooters you need a DOT rated motorcycle helmet. These just look good.

For me it was between a TSG and predator helmet... I like the predator helmet look slightly more then the TSG but i like the TSG too... the price difference is huge tsg for about $300 and predator is minimum $450.... with that being said i got me a matte black TSG for my Escooter.
Predator now is $299
No its not... i checked the link in description, and other sites its not under $400

Wow, thanks! I am trying to share so other people make a good decision when it comes to helmets. Jimmy Chang is ok but I have not seen his video about helmets.

New information about little to no padding in the top of the inside of the predator helmet is really surprising plus the other flaws. Nicely pointed out so thank you. Reviewers who didn't mention this shows they don't really know anything about safety or the product they are reviewing.
