The thing about the Owl shot is it doesn't actually really help you get the orange pegs, the "best shot" it determines is based on the highest score you can get for that shot, which unless you're going for the extra medals, is only helpful in the sense that you MIGHT get a free ball out of it
People will speedrun pretty much anything. SmallAnt; a creator here on TH-cam once became the fastest person in the world to sharpen 10 pencils down to nothing, with just his hands.
I did a pretty good college speedrun, moved in on Friday and moved out on Wednesday

@@theduckgoesmoo lolol, thats good but you could do a wall glitch and warp into the Dean's office to do a "backwards longjump pixel perfect spinkick to the groin" to the Dean's crotch in order to cut down many cutscenes and get to the credits faster. You should be able to get 0.7 days of time at college with that.

For context, Claude the lobster is doug and chats peggle nemesis. Claude has been infamous for killing his runs ever since he started speedrunning the game. I recommend you check out his other peggle vids
In case if someone hasn't said it in the comments, whenever he switched it to chats turn, he did some coding so that every time twitch typed "right" "left" "shoot" stuff like that, it will actually move the cursor and have them actually play and control the game, it's pretty cool he does this with a couple of games he streams with chat

Yeah, the GTA videos from dougdoug are good ones to watch. But I’d also recommend the smash bros one where if he says any of the character names, he has to start over

Peggle seems to be an super old game (as Doug said) 14 years old. Peggle Nights its the 2nd one, I think. I think there are 3 o 4 of them. There is a new game in developement called "Pegglin" which is like a Rouge-like game (like you need to reach the final stage and there is very different routes and you have kill the enemies in each stage and upgrade your abilities to survive. The catch is that the controls to do so are like the Peggle game)
Also, the chat makes weird shots because its like hundred and hundreds of people inputting commands and some of them are even delayed. So maybe they want to get from point A to point be, and maybe it takes 30 people to say "right" so the mouse moves 1 pixel to the right and they have to repeat this 60 times to reach Point B, but there is like wayyy more than 30 people in chat so they overshot. Imagine 1000 people fighting for the steering wheel of a car as its going down the road.
A secret command that Doug has for his viewers is "screenshot". Enough people type that and it will take a screenshot on dougs computer. Why would twitch chat do that? because its twitch chat and its funny lol
Doug Doug has computer coding knowledge and he makes the code that lets twitch chat play the games through single commands in chat.

ahh im so sorry for many comments, two last things, apparently there is a meme about all of Doug Doug's viewers being divorced, though I dont know why or where it started lol.
Also, yeah, in each set of stages of Peggle, you challenge a "boss" of sorts who actually shares their powers with you, and each set of stages is designed to be beaten with their specific powers. Things like a bigger bucket for easier free shot chances, or the lighting attack, or magic hat or fireballs, and many more.
The objective is to get all orange "pegs" and green ones give you a boost, pink ones double the points and if you reach 25k points, you get a free ball each time. Also, if you dont hit any peg, you get a 50/50 chance of getting said ball back, or losing it.

The reason for the scores is two-fold
1: every 25,000 points you earn an extra ball.
2: Peggle games have bonus objectives one of which is always an "Ace Score" to beat. Not sure if they do anything but it's if you're going for 100% completion which most speed runs you'll find are any%
Peggle is fun, id reccomend looking up grayfruits's peggle videos, he done some crazy shots lol
I loved playing Peggle on the Xbox 360 and this year I got and have since completed Peggle from the App Store
