- The free bike challenge - part 30 - insane bike park sends! I visit Phoenix cycle works MTB trails bike park and ride the sickest jumps ever on an old free hard tail mountain bike with horn handlebars, but how long will it last?
I return to this crazy bike park to find that they have a whole new side filled with incredible dirt jumps and fast flowing MTB trails which turns out to be a perfect place to put this hard tail free bike to the test. I start off on the old smaller beginner MTB trails before getting into the huge slopestyle jumps and pulling off tricks that really shouldn't of been done on this flimsy bike with ridiculous horn handle bars which must have came straight from the 80's!! Phoenix Bike park is filled with endless lines of jumps and wooden features to get sendy on, and I had so much fun here, I just wish I was on my normal bike and not the dangerous free bike!! What sort of tricks or free bike videos would you like to see next, let me know!!?

There is zero chance that bike was ever 360'd in its lifetime, then Sam comes along. I love how Sam takes a bike that was literally on the brink of extinction and gives it the most incredible day of it's existence instead.
I like how when normal people salvage parts from old bikes for their new bikes, sam salvages parts from his new bikes to fix his old bikes

It’s crazy how good he is on this bike
"Look how the rubber on the rear tire is dry rotted and about to explode. Let's replace the rear, but LEAVE THE FRONT???" That was the sketchiest part of the entire thing! Well, that and leaving the "impaler" ends on the bars when you're jumping 12 feet in the air, on a free bike, ON A ROTTED FRONT TIRE. That was fairly sketch too. :-)

Best free bike challenge yet?!! Goes to show how its like 90% rider skill was absolutly ace to see that old school fully rigid mtb ridden hard and to its limits! Sam hitting almost all of the landings near perfect kept that bike alive. Makes me want to grab my old pub bike and try some of those moves that won't be nearly as easy as Sam makes them look.

Keep it as retro looking as possible but strengthen it up! Want to see you do more on this, something about that old school geometry looks sick being sent over big stuff! Should be an 'old skool' category at Audi Nines 😂

I completely underestimated the capabilities of those 90s Ridgid frame mountain bikes. Nice work, Sam.
I would love to see some more CHEAP bike challenges. Something like a Decathlon Rockrider. How much stuntage and epicness can these things take? Nobody better than Sam to find out.
