I remember I heard this song playing one day when I was shopping at Goodwill. After I treated myself with a donut. This song is so special to me because it reminds me of a day where I was content with myself. I had really bad depression at the time but that day I felt free from it.
It really wasn't ever underated the song was always on in the early 2000's also on alot of movies too but you just dont hear good music like this anymore very rare!
This song will always have a special place in my mind. I found out about Pete back in the Myspace days, saw a picture of him on the main page, thought he was cute and clicked on his profile. This song was the first one I listened to and it became my favorite. I had just finished outpatient therapy for major depression and listening to this song on a sunny May afternoon knowing I was in store for better things always brings back fond memories 💚
Saw him in concert some time around 2007 in Denver, CO. Aqualung opened for him (another good band). I fought my way to the front row during this song and he smiled and threw his guitar pick, which I still have. I love his music and still listen a lot.
@@nathandyck2558 Oh you are correct. I misspoke - it's Athens. REM is one of my favorite bands of all time. I would have died to see Pete open for them!
Guy's beautiful - physically and musically. My kids went to his concert last night in Austin, TX. All I hear from them is that it was sooooo great. Stubbs, man.....
Pete, YOU are amazing and IF I may, SO, So, dang good.looking as well - Blessings oh and I'm loving you & Scarlett and I pray YOU stay together professionally for Many, Many moons. . .God bless you both🥰
song of the day!!! pete yorn is really great. he doesn't think that cigarettes and stories ruin the lives of people, just the lesser ones. i didn't even know there was a video for this song. anyway, we met him- he is sooooooo cool!!!
Loved the song back when this originally came out but even more so this video. I connected with it because of how he is blurred out until he is playing. Life apart from playing doesn’t make sense but then he steps into what he connects with, everything comes into full view.
One of my older sister would play this when i was little and i never knew who the artist was Didnt know it was Peter Yorn , popped into my head listening to 90's and early 2000's music..
Send me the money baby Do not leave out the wage You know you're the best thing ever To come out of this place And I want you to know Cause I want to know ❤️🔥
I found him in the movie Bandits Just Another love that song! I am 63 and still love his music! He is way underrated. I had never heard of him before Bandits! I think a lot of people are missimg out!
@psychokillercrab I am glad that he is still humble and down to earth. It is what we need in this society! And a lot of my friends don't like his new music but no matter what I will support him cuz his heart is not ugly like most ppl in our society and world......
I saw one photo of him in Details magazine 20 years ago with an article about his first album musicforthemorningafter. I thought he was so good looking that I went and bought the cd without hearing a single song first. It's one of my favorite CDs. I didn't like his later music, though.
haha i see you definitely like a lot of his music, i haven't warmed up to the olms just yet, i think mostly because of the mood of the music, it's good and i'm sure once i'm in that mood i'll really like it though.
F' Bruce & Bon Jovi- really Jersey musician. From Montville just outside of Parsippany/Pine Brook. Saw him a few times at Morristown Mayo Pac. does an awesome cover of Buzzcocks Ever Been In Love from Shrek 2.
@jaclynsorese Yea he is one of the few that will do that. He comes to Columbus Ohio a lot and will do intimate shows and is always willing to meet his fans. Infact the venue that he played at when I met him wouldn't let my friend meet him because my friend didn't buy 'the right' album. So when I got up to Pete I asked if he would sign my friends stuff and he was like 'where is he?' And I told him what the venue did and he was like 'tell him to come over I will take pictures with you guys'
In Pete's 21 year career I don't think there's been one mistep or excess. You can't say that about any other performer....maybe the steak doesn't always sizzle, but its always well cooked
@psychokillercrab yeah, he came to some pretty much no-name radio station close to where he grew up and just jammed. not a lot of "rockstars" do that anymore....
This guy is so underrated.
🤌🏻💯
Most definitely. This is an underrated comment. Thank you for your service, sir.❤

I saw him in Atlanta with REM. Great show
@@untetheredsoul3336 OMG, that would be my DREAM show. I love REM. I think they are from Atlanta, so it must have been some time ago.
Close, they're from Athens,GA. Totally jealous of seeing Pete open for REM!
I saw him open for Weezer though, that was cool too
@@nathandyck2558 Oh you are correct. I misspoke - it's Athens. REM is one of my favorite bands of all time. I would have died to see Pete open for them!
Guy's beautiful - physically and musically. My kids went to his concert last night in Austin, TX. All I hear from them is that it was sooooo great. Stubbs, man.....

I love this arrangement. It's different in an interesting way, but just as good as the original.
I really like this, but I prefer the original.
Pete, YOU are amazing and IF I may, SO, So, dang good.looking as well - Blessings oh and I'm loving you & Scarlett and I pray YOU stay together professionally for Many, Many moons. . .God bless you both🥰

pete yorn is really great. he doesn't think that cigarettes and stories ruin the lives of people, just the lesser ones. i didn't even know there was a video for this song. anyway, we met him- he is sooooooo cool!!!
This version is by far the best.
I agree totally underrated. I’m happy he is having a sober comeback!!! in more than just music!!!
Hard to think of anyone else so damn good/underrated.
Loved the song back when this originally came out but even more so this video. I connected with it because of how he is blurred out until he is playing. Life apart from playing doesn’t make sense but then he steps into what he connects with, everything comes into full view.
The Perfect pop song !!!
One of my older sister would play this when i was little and i never knew who the artist was Didnt know it was Peter Yorn , popped into my head listening to 90's and early 2000's music..

I found him in the movie Bandits Just Another love that song! I am 63 and still love his music! He is way underrated. I had never heard of him before Bandits! I think a lot of people are missimg out!

This is wildly different than the album version I have. I wasn’t aware this existed.
@psychokillercrab I am glad that he is still humble and down to earth. It is what we need in this society! And a lot of my friends don't like his new music but no matter what I will support him cuz his heart is not ugly like most ppl in our society and world......

Oh hello there
the song before this one was "Black" to answer Michael Konig. It is on the album musicforthemorningafter
haha i see you definitely like a lot of his music, i haven't warmed up to the olms just yet, i think mostly because of the mood of the music, it's good and i'm sure once i'm in that mood i'll really like it though.
i think Michael wanted to know the song before this one in the video though not the album, which is for nancy
FenixLites
I like pete's older stuff. I hope he goes back to the music he used to make. The new stuff is ok.

cool tune for all even if it came out in 2001 it still rocks. WHERE is he now ??
Rich Zoe He's not very focused
Rich Zoe I caught him in Seattle at the Crocodile, which is a historic venue here last year. I assume he plays similar joints across the country.
In Pete's 21 year career I don't think there's been one mistep or excess. You can't say that about any other performer....maybe the steak doesn't always sizzle, but its always well cooked
how the hell do I get a copy of this version of the song?!?!!
gosh good thing i have a habit of researching different versions, this version is indeed a bit better than the album version
"Я снова я и ирен" споминается фильм)
What the hell you're still doing here?!! - Hank
@psychokillercrab yeah, he came to some pretty much no-name radio station close to where he grew up and just jammed. not a lot of "rockstars" do that anymore....

I like this version, kinda in your face. Of course I like symphonic metal.
This song makes me thirsty for a frosty cold beverage
Rich Zoe he's on tour!
He was amazing on tour!
@brandon1115100- Song name - For Nancy
I'd like to hear Pete do a song with Agnetha Faltskog.
John Strange ,that'd be an interesting collaboration! Any particular reason you say this?
@cjvchile23 check out the Black Keys, they may or may not change your mind....
@ThexNerd
