I will just share with you something that helped my relationship grow tremendously was to cut out TV, Radio and social media and spend time just sitting in quiet and seeking God and talking to him about wanting to know him and the things I needed to know and what he wanted me to focus on in my life the most that needed to go. I did this after years of listening to others tell me what was and wasn't sin and trying to focus on making the right decisions that day and repenting and so on. He told me that as long as I focused on my sins that I may or may not have committed or wanted to commit or anything else about myself and whether or not I was doing what he wanted, he said my focus was on this dead world of the flesh that his son already defeated and I was not having faith or believing in the promises of Jesus and what God says about me. He told me to not be of this world or the things of this world and to die to the flesh for the things of eternity and the heavenly kingdom, does not mean the things of this world (material things, money) it means my thoughts, my words, my emotions, my memories, my appearance, my work, my bills, my home, what I eat, what I think is my reality and everything I have ever been taught, heard, experienced or thought I knew had to be killed and got rid of and replaced with the things that the holy spirit revealed to me as truth and the things of the spirit world that I must study bc the physical is dead to me now since Jesus died.. I will just share with you something that helped my relationship grow tremendously was to cut out TV, Radio and social media and spend time just sitting in quiet and seeking God and talking to him about wanting to know him and the things I needed to know and what he wanted me to focus on in my life the most that needed to go. I did this after years of listening to others tell me what was and wasn't sin and trying to focus on making the right decisions that day and repenting and so on. He told me that as long as I focused on my sins that I may or may not have committed or wanted to commit or anything else about myself and whether or not I was doing what he wanted, he said my focus was on this dead world of the flesh that his son already defeated and I was not having faith or believing in the promises of Jesus and what God says about me. He told me to not be of this world or the things of this world and to die to the flesh for the things of eternity and the heavenly kingdom, does not mean the things of this world (material things, money) it means my thoughts, my words, my emotions, my memories, my appearance, my work, my bills, my home, what I eat, what I think is my reality and everything I have ever been taught, heard, experienced or thought I knew had to be killed and got rid of and replaced with the things that the holy spirit revealed to me as truth and the things of the spirit world that I must study bc the physical is dead to me now since Jesus died.. Words when describing the physical can mean about 20 different things and they are trying to describe something that cant be described. Its a hard study.
