Hi Dave, great channel. I’m 82 with throat cancer (not treated) and have two bikes. I too had to downsize as like you, head and neck arthritis precluded the big bikes. I too did Hardknot and Wrynose passes when touring the Lake District last year staying at the YHA in Ambleside for the week. (I was the oldest youth there!!!!). My Honda CB500f takes me all over and a 125 Austrian Generic Works is used as my town hack. I’m a bit of a fair weather biker nowadays but still manage about 250 miles a week weather permitting. The Honda has a 200 mile tank, I have a 200 mile bladder and a 200 mile numb bum so fuel stops are always welcome!!!! Roll on summer, stay safe. John of Gosport.
Hi John thank you so much for your comment and I’m sorry to hear about your condition. I haven’t say that your positive approach is truly inspiring and humbling…God Bless 👍🏻
Few years back I also did Hardnott with a mate and his wife and he was on a Honda Goldwing. He went up with an ease i never felt, blazing rock music out of his speakers with not a care in the world. Scary.
In response to your question about planned motorbike trips: I will be setting off on a longer trip tomorrow, Friday 7 June. From Germany via Austria, Hungary, Serbia and North Macedonia to Greece. By ferry from Piraeus to Folegandros, a Greek island in the Cyclades, where we celebrate a friend's birthday. I travel back from Greece via Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Austria. Five weeks, 5,000 miles on my Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 alone, just enough to fit between two inspections. I'll be offline for a while. BTW: I am 66 and still have plans for additional longer trips.
I am 68, I ride a 2002 Goldwing 1800, and cover about 10,000 miles a year, I do about 18 rallies a year (full camping gear etc) plus 1 touring holiday every year with my wife on the back, I have Dupuytren contracture (bit like tendonitis), so find the clutch a bit painful these days, My wing weighs in at over 400kg plus me, the wife and luggage, may have to consider a DCT at some point, but cant see me coming down from a Goldwing, A friend of mine asked why I ride a Goldwing.... Easy, its because Rolls Royce dont make motorcycles. Keep up the good work.
Hi Dave, I've been a subscriber to your channel for quite a while now. I love all your videos. I'm originially from Baildon, but have lived in The Netherlands for many years. I have a 2006 Black Bonnie (Carb version) and I love it. I'm over in Yorkshire now for the next 6 weeks and I've done quite a bit of touring around Yorkshire. Your videos have given me lots of ideas on which routes to take. Many thanks for all the effort and time you put into this channel. Cheers, Tim
Hi Tim and thank you so much for those kind words and I hope you enjoy your trip here. If you’re in the vicinity over the next few weeks give me a shout and I’ll be happy to stand you a brew 👍🏻

Great review, cfmoto are now making some great bikes and more affordable. The mt is a cracking choice has everything you need. Oh and the neck cam is working really well.
Come August, I'll be heading to Luxembourg for four days with my 22yo son. He passed his test in January (!) and this will be his first trip over the water on a motorbike. Not the biggest, baddest trip ever - not even MY biggest baddest trip - but for me personally, as a Lad & Dad adventure, it will be epic. Can't wait!
Hi Dave nice video lovely part of the world ,I'm 61 and did do hardnock pass 2 yrs ago on my BMW K1600GT full luggage don't think I'd do it again, I've ridden the cf moto 800 mt and have to say was impressed and was thinking of swopping my bike for one listening to you has given me more confidence in buying one All the best
On the Hardknott pass theme, I attempted it 2 up on Triumph Trophy, admittedly without the panniers but with a topbox. The Mrs had to bail half way up and thats going up the easy way. I made it without dropping it , she got back on when it flattened out a bit. All I will say is that I will not be trying again on such a heavy bike .
Seems like yesterday you reached 9k subs and now you're knocking on the door of 10k. Well done that's a testament to your hard work and quality content.

Hi Mike thank you so much for subscribing I really appreciate it. That 350 single is a cracking engine in all 4 bikes they fit it to…..and it gets better and better as you rack up the miles 👍🏻
I wish I could go up Hardknott pass looks epic. We have some pretty good roads though here in the US. I have a small Himalayan that I enjoy, size is just perfect.

Hi Bingley if you could please could possibly get your hand on the new cfmoto 450cl cruiser, looks great,l9ve to know what you think, cheers an keep up the good work 👍
I have just reached the age of 73 in remission for prostate cancer. I still ride a 2021 Trident 660 and a year 2000 Honda firestorm, both of which as you might have said when a policeman I make progress on. I like the helmet you’re wearing is it a new purchase? Was it expensive? All the best Nigel
Hi Nigel sorry to hear about your health scare but glad you’re in remission. Two classic bikes you have there pal. Yes new lid and like all Arai lids….a bit pricey
Hi Dave. I can solve your joint pain. Just please give me credit. Buy brown colored beef bone protein powder (not collagen peptides clear powder) and take 2 teaspoons per day. Mix whole milk in your coffee. Then the final thing. You have to stop eating Spinach, almonds, kiwi fruit, all tea (tea is super high in oxalate) and you also need to try to stop potatoes. Continue eating bread, dairy, squash, berries, butter, cheese. Stop eating "oxalate rich" foods like Spinach and this not optional; you MUST stop eating oxalate foods. It is the oxalate that causes the pain.
Thanks for that Dave. Any chance that Appleyards sell Vogue bikes. One of the local Cfmoto dealers near me has them as well. Worth a review if you get the chance. P.s. Try to get out on your push bike now and again. It will keep you in better shape for motorbikes. Rab Belfast

Dome it a few times. Hardknott. Last couple on a scooter. Most tricky was guzzi 1100 sport. Very high geared. Had to be doing 20 before clutch was out in first. So tricky on there. Tricky on the road too. Actually the worst bike I ve ever owned. Also the most gorgeous so you know what happened there! 😂
Another greatvideo Dave. These CFmoto bikes are really developing. Incidentally I read in MCN this week that Via Moto are moving out of Sheffield due to the new LEZ limitations and are also limiting their stock range and focusing on the KTM / CF Moto ranges as a main stay. If you get achance to review the 650MT or the 700MT that would be great, as I am keen on the 650MT. Passed my MOD 1 on Tuesday so getting closer to getting my own (mid range) tourer.
Hi Wayne I’m down for those bikes as soon as a demo becomes available. Congratulations on passing your Mod 1 pal…..I was down to review the new Norton out of Via Moto but never got around to it…..I wonder if they’ll stop dealing with them 🤔
If individual purchases don't make a jot of difference, then why do companies spend so much on advertising. Gandhi made a difference to the cotton industry in the UK by persuasion of individuals. As for leaving it to politicians and the like , is the reason we're in this current mess we,re in now , they are supposed to be doing are bidding, but if we say nowt, then they do what they like and that usually means something that suits them not the general population. Arai helmets are lovely but don't suit my head shape, so Shoei or Schubert for me. Shoei didn't put drop down sun visors in for the same reason, but have now managed to make helmets that meet their equally high standards but with the said sun visor. So much more convenient than changing visors or wearing sunglasses.

26:39 I know what you said regarding that engine dave, but personally I'm still interested to see if cfmoto has done anything about those 790 engine cam issues which seems to be well reported, I certainly hope you don't suffer the same thing around 20,000 miles, we shall have to see 🤞🏻
4 year warranty Kevin, 4 year warranty…..and reported cases are never representative of the majority experience…let’s see 🤣
@@thebingleywheeler I know dave, but warranty is only as good as the company behind it and 20,000 will probably happen after the 4 years, but either way it will be interesting to see how you get on as time goes on 👍🏻
@kevindarkstar can’t see KTM folding can you?
@@thebingleywheeler well no, but anything could happen 🤣🤣
another great vid 👍. I am just about to set off for Austria 😆and I understand a large dump of snow has come down about a week ago. Let's hope it's clear on the high passes 👍
Hope it has cleared pal ride safe and enjoy👍🏻
One of my favourite channels beside my own lol. You give me the motivation to keep going. Keep doing it.
It seems like you love that CFMOTO.
All the best Ian 9:12
Hi Ian and thank you. I enjoy your channel too and you’ve enjoyed some rapid early growth….good for you. Hope all is well in Bulgaria….i have a keen interest in the music and culture of nearby Romania which shares a lot of history with Bulgaria 👍🏻
Just back from Slovenia ( wonderful place ) but had to race the bad weather floods ect north... Soaked for 2 days of motorway riding to get home..🤣🤣🤣. Many CF Moto 800 s seen down there and all with positive ownership experience so far..👍
I tour on a Triumph tiger 1050 2008. Still an awesome machine.
That 1050 triple is a classic I had a Sprint ST1050….awesome engine
Hi Bingley if you could please could possibly get your hand on the new cfmoto 450cl cruiser, looks great,l9ve to know what you think, cheers an keep up the good work 👍
Got my name down Simon soon as a demo lands 😎
Nice one looking forward to it
I have just reached the age of 73 in remission for prostate cancer. I still ride a 2021 Trident 660 and a year 2000 Honda firestorm, both of which as you might have said when a policeman I make progress on. I like the helmet you’re wearing is it a new purchase? Was it expensive?
All the best
Nigel
Hi Nigel sorry to hear about your health scare but glad you’re in remission. Two classic bikes you have there pal. Yes new lid and like all Arai lids….a bit pricey
"Stay tuned, That's all folks" I thought was bugs bunny, although "What's up Doc?" may also need to be avoided!
Picked up my brand new cfmoto 800mt today , put up 137 kms didnt let me down once 😂😂😂
Wow thank you I didn’t know that I’ll look out for it….shame as I love spinach 😔
Brilliant video as usual,.
Thank you Sean
Thanks for that Dave. Any chance that Appleyards sell Vogue bikes. One of the local Cfmoto dealers near me has them as well. Worth a review if you get the chance.
P.s. Try to get out on your push bike now and again. It will keep you in better shape for motorbikes. Rab Belfast
Cheers Rab yes they stock all the Voge range and I reviewed 2 of them last year….take a look I did the 300 and 500 great bikes
@@thebingleywheelercheers Dave, That 300 looks like a lot of fun. Just like the trail bikes we used to bounce off trees forty years ago.
I like the look of your KTM jacket. Could you talk a bit about it please? Thinking of splashing out for a lighter weight, summer jacket and would really like to hear you share your thoughts. Ta gradely I think they say up your way???
Ditto
Try the Klim Marrache
Yes I’ll give it some coverage on a video soon 😎👍🏻
I'm new a subscriber. Enjoy the content. Like to see bike reviews. Even if i dont need a new bike today, i like to know what my choices are for the future. Would like to see one of the CF Moto 450MF
Many thanks for subscribing much appreciated 😊👍🏻
Great view from the neck brace Dave so no need for camera on helmet now, definitely not on a £599 Arai that’s for sure 😂 As for rides off tomorrow to a great transport cafe to meet up with my Son In Law for 9:00 am him on a Harley and me on my faithful Classic 350…… happy days 😊
Sounds like a great day out Peter…enjoy 👍🏻
Dave that guy with a 330 kg bike full luggage he must have kept in first gear and had a queue behind him ..what a great story he sounds like he enjoyed it wonder if he has done any other risky rides 😂
I’m sure he has…he had that twinkle in his eye 😄
@@thebingleywheeler hey hey someone out there should sketch a caricature of that ride up hardnott pass with full luggage lol
Spot on Dave ive bought the benelli 702x i absolutly love it
I dont care were it was made only how it rides its every bit as good as my honda cb500x ive traded in for it thanks for the reviews it helps us all decide if its worth a test ride
Great bike that TRK 702X Brian I loved it when I took it out earlier this year 😊👍🏻
Keep up the good work Dave love seeing your bike reviews more so cos your same weight and inseam more or less to me so gives me a good yardstick what you think 👍
On to 10,000 subs!!
🙏🙏🙏
Thanks
Thank you Dale that’s very kind and much appreciated
So-called revelations begin about 26 minutes in....
Yes….what of it?
Dome it a few times. Hardknott. Last couple on a scooter. Most tricky was guzzi 1100 sport. Very high geared. Had to be doing 20 before clutch was out in first. So tricky on there. Tricky on the road too. Actually the worst bike I ve ever owned. Also the most gorgeous so you know what happened there! 😂
Hi Dave… Did you get rid of the Meteor 650 (with not mentioning it when stating other bikes now owned).
Yes video on reasons coming soon
Hi Dave did you px your super meteor 650 to buy the cfmoto?
Yes very reluctantly but I can’t justify 4 bikes
Voge - bloody autocorrect!
“600 of your finest British pounds” crikey now you’re ripping off Henry Cole…🤣🤣🤣🤣
Only kidding.
Notice there was no mention of the Super Meteor in your list of bikes. Do I take it that it’s gone to pastures new..?👍
Hi Nick….Yes I’m hunkering down to avoid the copyright onslaughts 😂
Just subcribed
God bless you and thank you
Thanks
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity I really appreciate that…all the best 😊👍🏻
