That hits very hard when you think about how Goku's been a influence to everyone since the very first day he became popular and the years that lead him become this humbled, disciplined, pure warrior everyone looks up because of how many people has he changed in some ways because of what he brings, what he teaches and why the world needs that. The fact he's been a iconic for a American tradition/ Christian like Thanksgiving where people are thankful for everything they have but also, wanna spread it through other people says everything about how Goku approaches everything. I've been a big Dragon Ball fan since the late '90s and have never known (till now) that there was a manga from which Dragon Ball got many of its ideas. But what I appreciate more about your channel is how you explain the martial arts and Buddhist philosophies behind it all. Good stuff, man!

Its actually from an old chinese novel from the 1400s i think. Journey to the west which had many many adaptations.
