keep maintenance up to date, those eco diesels are prone to have issues down the road
right lol my brother had one spent 3 months on the shop then he sold it back to them

That GMC with the 6.2 would’ve been your best choice of vehicle. I had a 6.2 for 4 years and I could get 18-22 mpg on the highway and it was fast and could pull just about anything you put behind it

Flair you can always do the def delete on the ram sometime so that you don’t have to add def fluid!! Plus by deleting the def will also help with fuel economy for sure!!! I have maybe done a def delete on a Duramax and it definitely helped with the fuel economy for sure!!!
@PaladinO_1911 it prevents diesel engines from billowing poison into the atmosphere, removing the def is also extremely illegal.

Actually no, the eco diesel is awesome. They have been since they came out, people just don’t like em cuz they’re “rams”
@That1trapshooter not true at all ... tons of problems since they came out ... a lot of bugs worked out since then but still the worst of the 3 ... I was a service writer at a Dodge dealer ... but a big problem with any diesel is that if they aren't used for the intended purpose they are problem child's ... many people that got a "little diesel" just drive it short distances and don't haul and they don't have a chance to regen so the dpf fills up clogs and costs over $2k to repair

At least Lucky to get there without the rod bearings, and main bearings going, crank breaking, egr issues, and camsprocket/ timing issues, as well as trans. Issues. Our shop sees these often.
The eco diesel sucks one I had for only 5 months and stayed in shop for issues that came back every time I got it back
How you figure? My company has 17 of these from 15 to 23. The 15 has 317k on it. Only recall fixes on them no other problems!

@@hunterharlow93 We are buying 2 more next week. And looking for any used ones we can find. Only issue we have had was the one with 317k had to put a rear end in it. And one we had 20k lbs behind it and pulled it 20 miles and fuel pump explodes
big ford guy and i owned one of those twin turbos, they are wicked fast and highway passing monsters but they were also famous for dropping the timing chains after 100,000 miles so i would hesitate to recommend them
They don't drop chains, the cam phasers go out
100k is a pretty normal service interval for timing chains.....

My friend has an ecodiesel 2022 with 300000 miles on it and has had zero issues with it. It is a great motor and get amazing fuel economy

I have a ram 1500 big horn 2019 white I love her she is amazing keep up the great work brother
I own a 2022 Eco Diesel 4wd Rebel and it is fantastic. Gets almost 30mph. Don't listen to the haters. The problem with the eco diesel is it gets great mileage so everyone bought them to drive short distance and then the injectors got clogged up. They are made to drive longer distance. They do have a recall on them and I would get that done. The best thing you can do is delete the DEF system and all the emissions. One guy on YT did this to his and he swears he gets 30+ mpg towing his bass boat.

ive got the eco disel, engine light stays on for egr crap, throttle response is terrible. but on the bright side i get 21mpg in town and 24 on hwy. ive had it for 2 years and 40k miles and ive put def in it like 4 times

I had an eco diesel and I loved it didn’t use much def unless I was pulling with it and I pulled a lot of weight with no problem. Never had any problems with it.
As soon as you hook up with that eco diesel it'll drop to 5 mpg
I pulled a Chevy Colorado on a trailer with mine and got 21mpg. But it was getting 26mpg plus mine is 4x4 to

I was cracking up Flair getting scared of a little tow behind lift. I install signs in Tampa and we've had to rent 150ft lifts / work off of window washing stages.
The earlier gen eco diesel rams like this one are notorious for top and bottom end engine failure. I would definitely 100% invest in a extended warranty with that ram.

I have a 2015 ecodiesel. I've had it for over a year now, and It's been great to me.
I've got a 2005 Ford Falcon ute with the 4.0L petrol straight 6 and a 3 post bullbar. It's got 470,000k (about 290,000m) on it and I get about 25mpg on the highway, which is most of my driving. It's 3rd-hand and cost me $1,200AUD. If I had the money to upgrade I'd probably go with something like a 1980 F-350 with a 460 on dual-fuel and a big, steel 5 post bullbar, as I deal with a lot of roos on the road.
I'm liking the new rig. Hopefully you get a bit longer out of it than the last one lol.

You should flat bed the rear of the truck that way you can put pallets of jerky on the back to transport it places.

I have an 2011 Ford Taurus SHO AWD with the ecoboost. With precision twin turbo upgrade. Pushing 300k miles. Besides for putting different turbos, exhaust and tune on it. Rest is stock. Love my ecoboost. But, i also work on a lot of ecoboost. Most push them 10k+ miles between oil changes and cause issues.
