UPDATE: I strongly advise anyone who is looking into purchasing from Nurecover to STAY AWAY! I've come to find them to be a very unethical, dishonest company and although you might receive your product, they will in no way offer any sort of support. Save yourself the headache or roll the dice.
Awesome comparison. I was debating between the two brands today. My buddy has the SaunaBox and loves it. I tried it last night and decided I need one too. The larger footprint of the Nurecover had me leaning that direction, but I thought I’d better TH-cam some review videos first. This was the first video to come up, and it answered all my questions. Done deal. I’ll be ordering the SaunaBox through your link and discount code now. Thank you!
I really appreciate that, thank you! I've seen number of people mention that they bought the Nurecover because they thought it was wider. I was shocked to see that just wasn't true. Enjoy the SaunaBox!
Glad to hear! I had someone mention that I seemed a bit too biased, but that was only because I had already had time with both of them. The differences in quality is immediately apparent. The temp test is perhaps the most surprising difference.
Thanks for the great review/comparison. This is exactly what I was looking for since I was considering both saunas. Your video helped me finalize my decision. I just purchased the SaunaBox via your link. I look forward to trying it out. Thanks again!
Thank you for this video!! My wife has been wanting me to get her the nurecover and this allowed me to get her a better sauna so she’s not disappointed in the one she saw. 😊
I am glad I bought the SaunaBox. I had looked at the Amazon choices, and that made my decision easier. I’ve used it the last two days, and I am quite happy. I bought an IcePod pro last summer, and extra insulation is worth paying for, that is, if you truly want to get hot and sweaty. Nice review.🌻❤️
Hey Dale, thanks for commenting. I think a lot of people are like you and they're shopping around. It's hard to tell if something is "better" than others when they all look very similar. The SaunaBox is still going strong for me after all this time (7+ months).
I hadn’t watched the very end where you compared temperatures. I just got done with my third day, 20 minutes and on 7. I took a recovery shower. I am spent. Was this worth $350 to me? Yes.🌻🔥120 degrees, sure feels like enough to me.🤪
Great video! I've got the Nurecover. On average, I can get it up to about 113-114 degrees F. I'm on the fence as to whether I should buy the Saunabox, or just add a red heat light or two to my current setup. I will note this: on my very first attempt to power up the sauna steamer that came with my Nurecover, the LED and beep portion of the controls and display shorted out. The buttons still work and the unit still turns on. You just don't know what setting you are on because the display is shot and there is no "beep" each time you press a button to make a change.
I guess if I already owned the Nurecover, I wouldn't go out and get the SaunaBox. Sure, it's a lot better, but would it be worth shelling out another $350? Probably not. I'd just make due with it until it falls apart and then buy one.
This video just made my decision for me and I’ll be sure to use your link. Nurecover has crazy marketing trying to pressure you into buying plus the portable ice pod and red light therapy. But if you think about it, they’re adding bells and whistles to compensate. That temperature difference had me sold 🥵
Would have been helpful to take a temp reading of the outside of the fabric to understand the thermal characteristics better of the covers. Thanks for the video
The steam unit outputs a fixed quantity of steam per minute. As a result a smaller tent volume should actually be an advantage (beyond the lower head height issue) however clearly the poorer insulation means this possible advantage is lost
How would the sauna box stand up to cold weather? I can’t find any information regarding using portable steam rooms outdoors in the winter. Obv won’t get as hot but would it still work?
I used mine all winter outside last year and yes, I did notice a little drop in overall temps, but still effective. Of course around here it averages low 30s and 40s during the winter so your experience might vary. The other pro is that the new SaunaBox version has better insulation so I would imagine it will do even better than before.
@@92584wa I have the IB300 and like it a lot, especially how well insulated it is. That said, the extra room of the IB500 would be appreciated. If you're interested, I think I have a 10% off code. Let me know if you want it.

Nice review. I wish I'd seen it before I bought my Nurecover. I've had to replace the steam device twice now. The first one worked for a few weeks and then cracked and the lid blew off during a sauna session. The replacement device took 3 weeks to ship from China, worked once, and then died during my second use. So annoying. I'm about to order the Saunabox and use your discount code.
I've been having an equally frustrating time with Nurecover. I ordered their TropicPRO to test for the channel and they sent me the old model. 1 month or so later, still no replacement. You'll like the SaunaBox. They just updated it with a few new features including better insulation. Thanks for watching!
Hey man, how does the Nurecover TropicPro compare? Its triple insulated unlike the original, 15% larger, and 40% more powerful with the prosteam device. Does this beat the saunabox now?
I have a Tropic Pro coming my way within a couple days. Full review hopefully soon. Funny enough, SaunaBox just released an updated version of their sauna with better insulation. They haven’t advertised the improvement on their website. Just published that video though.
Definitely makes it feel more cramped. i just got their new PRO model in to test out. I'll let you know if it's any taller. It's supposed to be "15% larger" or something like that.
Great review!! I bought a serenelife steam sauna recently and was wondering if you had an opinion or comparison to the saunabox? After watching your review im debating of sending it back and purchasing the saunabox. Thanks for any input you can give me.
No, I have no experience with it. Have you already used it and if so, how was the experience? Does it get hot enough? If it does, returning it and buying the SaunaBox might not be worth the hassle. Then again, based on the photos I'm looking at, it looks a bit cheap. Hard to say.
I just got it yesterday. I did use it and it was only getting to about 104 degrees. My other concern was the material it's made from and if it may be toxic. It was from Amazon so a return should be simple. I think for a little more money I would be better going with the saunabox, for the heat and the fact they had 3rd party testing for bpa and other toxic chems
Great suggestion for anyone reading! I do the same thing. In fact, for this video, the cap was off on both saunas just to make sure it was as fair as possible when it came to checking the temps.
Wow, i thought the smaller nurecover will be better at temparature. You are learned me something better. Thank you! I will definitely order the Saunabox! Huge Thanks to you!!🎉
So here's my take and obviously there would be no way to say for sure without some independent testing. SaunaBox has numerous third-party safety certifications on their website, like BPA-free. I assume they're legit. From first hand experience, I don't notice any plastic off-gasing or anything of the sort. Although the air is hot, the walls of the tent are actually cool to the touch and covered in condensation when it's on. I suppose like any other steam room/sauna etc out there, you hope it's made ethically without harmful materials. Random comparison, but I think driving around in a new car on a hot day would be far more detrimental. Thanks for watching!
For now, no. This is just my opinion, but based on the quality of their sauna, I'd be really interested to test those red lights to see if they're in fact, 660nm. That and I question the efficacy of a single light strip for overall healing. Just me thinking out loud.
@@Eman-nd1yd I recommend the SaunaBox because it's made better, it's bigger, gets hotter, and has better accessories. Adding red light isn't much of a bonus if everything else about it is garbage.

Neither is infrared but the Nurecover does have the red light. I have it and honestly, not sure it does much of anything. The SaunaBox is simply a better steam tent.
Because it's just water vapor, most times I just open the door all the way and let it air out. Within an hour or so it's dry. Otherwise, just use something like a little vinegar and water and wipe down the sides.
The sauna box uses aluminum for the boiler. Does anyone know if that’s healthy? I’m sure the other one uses the same metal. Aluminum is cutting corners, it’s cheaper than steel.
