@@TomsRoadTrippin unfortunately you came at a time where a lot of attractions were closed and the Asia part wasn’t ready yet. If you do ever come back and able to try coming during October or December. October they do boo at the zoo big Halloween event and December they do wild lights where they put decorations that light up the whole zoo it’s pretty cool. Glad you liked it there!
I am sorry that some of the areas were closed or off-limits. Some if they are really nice. ince the residents of Akron made the zoo a priority about 20 years ago by passing a tax levy, the zoo haws realy taken off. Do you plan to do The Wilds one day? That would be the last major zoo / animal park in Ohio.
I was very pleasantly surprised by nice the Akron Zoo was. It's really nice to see a smaller zoo make such fantastic changes. I'd like to visit The Wilds someday, just didn't have time on that trip.
Nice zoo tour visit the Bronx zoo it has largest monorail in the United States largest collection of gorillas and there habitat is more the 5 acres and the zoo itself is 266 acres of a lot more than 8,000 animals of 680 speicies they say the have 6,000 speicies but I have only seen 680 speicies they also have one of the largest collections of rodents in the world it’s my favorite zoo in the world
I always wear a face covering where required. All the zoo's I visited this year had requirements. Timed entry, one-way paths and of course face covering. I wore a mask inside all buildings and whenever I was near other people. Main reason I chose to primarily visit zoo's as it wss much easier to social distance.

We have a year pass there my kids and I love it. Pretty close drive and so many different animals to see

I really did, for a small zoo it was fantastic. They have been doing a lot of updating to the habitats.

Going to a zoo in person is much better than seeing on a video. However, if your not able to go in person I hope my tours are the next best thing.

All indoor exhibits were closed, everything else was open.

Could you add the time stamp? Just type the time of the part of the video your referring too.
It’s camouflage’ it means to blend in the coloring. Animals use them.
I know what camouflage means. I'm just not sure what part of the tour your referring too.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, this will be another 2 part release.
They also did you hear their Capybara passed away and now the exhibit belongs to Patagonian Cavies
That sucks it died but I do enjoy the Patagonian Cavies.

Did you know that they got rid of their Himalayan Tahr and replaced them with Red- Crowned Crane
That doesn't sound like a good trade, you don't see the Tahr at many zoo's.

All birds temporarily off habitat are housed in other parts of the zoo in back areas.
