- Neoprene rubber is a black colored rubber that is used in applications where moderate levels of oil, petroleum, ozone, and weathering-resistance are needed. Neoprene elastomers are very popular due to the broad range of applications in which they can be used. Variations in this elastomer exist in the forms of solid sheet, open cell and closed cell neoprene. Each type is suited for specific applications, but they retain mostly identical chemical resistance qualities. This synthetic elastomer was the answer to society’s need for an alternative to natural rubber that could fare better against chemicals and outdoor elements. In this video, Mr. Elasticity explains the uses of Industrial Neoprene Sheet Rubber for General Purpose besides wet suit applications.

to the person who asked if it could be used in footwear the answer is yes.the olukai ohana sandals have neoprene and i swear by there comfort.i have several pairs and buy a pair every year.they are the absolute most comfortable sandal in the industry.period....

I found a bucket of neoprene based contact cement and it acts a lot like fluid latex. I'm going to try to shift it with the latex base in a five component foam latex kit to see what happens. Neopren rubber should be UV resistent and not deteriorate like the latex. Foam latex deteriorate very fast so I cross my fingers. Can't find anyone that have tried this out. If you know of anything that could guide me ... Please don't hesitate
Monster makers foam latex has to be baked at 70 degree Celsius for 4-6 hours in order to cure. Wonder I that wil work with neoprene. Is heat used to cure the neoprene mats during production?
how grippy is neoprene? I mean could it be stuck to a ping pong paddle and spin the ball well?

EmericanGangstarr I know you can get it at clark rubber and places like that but some stores have really thick stuff and others have thin so youll have to look in a few stores to find the right thickness and some times you cant get it with adheasive backing allready on it so have your double sided tape ready

yeah i bought some not from this company though and it was a bit thicker than riptape but that was becuase the dident have the thinner thickness in stock but its just like riptape

Does it make a good fingerboard grip? Why and how please let me know. I have tons of fingerboards I recently got back into it. I have a bunch or boards need new grip. I was gonna either buy a good grip number sandpaper or just a sheet of griptape from a skate shop. But what's the advantages of using this?
