What is an indication that the ruby you are interested in is unheated ?
You can look out for the irridescent fingerprint or needles!
When you heat it , these features would melt and become reflective. Of course, there is alos low heat which would only alter the inclusion slightly.
Remember to look out for other features before you come to a conclusion!
